I have stayed at the Morelli Heights Holiday Inn for 60 days. At $110 per night, I would recommend staying somewhere with staff who genuinely care about their guests and, more importantly, somewhere that consistently cleans its rooms. My colleagues and I have experienced nothing but issues during our stay. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its convenient location on base. To start, the AC almost never works properly. I have spoken with the front desk multiple times and was repeatedly told that maintenance would fix it. Apparently, however, the issue can only be resolved for a day or two at a time. About 30 days into my stay, I was finally told that I could reset the AC myself by holding down a button on the side of the thermostat. The catch is that I sometimes have to do this multiple times a day. If you enjoy waking up covered in sweat at night and needing another shower before leaving your hotel room, this is the hotel for you. Secondly, the housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. Over the course of two months, my sheets were changed only once—and that was after I practically begged the hotel staff to do it. You might ask how I know they were changed only once. When the same stain remains in the exact same spot on a sheet for more than a month, it becomes pretty obvious. Housekeeping even went out of its way to scrub the stain, making it slightly less noticeable instead of actually changing the sheets. This was especially frustrating because I was told at check-in that my room would receive a full cleaning and linen change every week. To make matters worse, the room was not even fully clean when I arrived. The tables were covered in dust and a greasy substance, which remained there for the entire 60 days of my stay. Despite repeatedly requesting housekeeping service, my colleagues and I were often left having to ask multiple times before anything was done. We were assured that our rooms would be properly cleaned, but that rarely happened. Third, the staff themselves were another major problem. Every staff member my colleagues and I spoke with was rude, and getting even basic assistance often felt like an argument. When you are paying $110 a night, having to repeatedly ask for basic housekeeping and service should not be part of the experience. Lastly, the noise was another ongoing issue. I do not know if the walls are paper-thin or if the guests here are simply loud and inconsiderate, but for the last two months I have had the pleasure of hearing doors slam repeatedly, both day and night, often waking me from my sleep. I could also hear guests speaking at a normal volume in neighboring rooms while I was in my own room. If you value peace and quiet—or privacy—you may want to keep that in mind when considering this hotel. Overall, my experience has been extremely disappointing. For $110 per night, I expected a clean room, working AC, basic housekeeping, helpful staff, reasonable noise levels, and reliable Wi-Fi. Instead, I dealt with recurring AC problems, inadequate housekeeping, rude staff, excessive noise, a disappointing breakfast, and slow Wi-Fi. If that sounds like your idea of a good hotel stay, then the Morelli Heights Holiday Inn is the hotel for you. Otherwise, I strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

So I stay here for two nights for family day and graduation for my son who was there for basic. I want to start off by saying that the staff has been very accommodating. We needed a late checkout and that wasn’t a problem we were checked in by MEL who was fabulous! Definitely need more of her working for you. She needs new computers, though I know that they were glitching and she had to use one for checking and one for cards. Other than somebody burning something in the fire alarms going off and everybody having to exit the building at night or stay was pretty uneventful. Rooms were OK clearly not five star But they were clean and OK for what we paid. There are no pots and pans, no coffee maker, even though they have kitchenettes. They are renovated and the halls have new carpet and fresh paint. There’s no pool either, but you can use the neighboring pool you do have to drive to it. It did include breakfast, though we did not eat it. my sister-in-law’s family came with us so we rented two different rooms. Definitely get a suite if you can swing it. It has more space if you have more than two people.

Rooms are wonderful with a mini kitchen and TVs couch and very comfy bed. Bring your utensils. There’s free laundry room and a computer lab. Awesome free breakfast. Location is Sumer convenient for MsCOE. Great parking. Vending machines. You can order deliveries. The cleaning person won’t come if you are staying longer so you have to ask for toilet paper or blankets if you need. Great stay.

The Wi-Fi frequently disconnects and requires reconnecting. For some reason, my work laptop and phone cannot be connected to the Wi-Fi at the same time. The TV has very few channels, and you cannot stream content from your personal devices. When I asked the front desk about streaming to the TV, I was told, “I don’t know; I’ve never been in the room and used it.” When I asked why the Wi-Fi kept disconnecting, I was told, “I don’t know, it must be your device.” Additionally, the room keys are extremely sensitive. If they come into contact with another electronic device, they can become demagnetized and must be rekeyed at the front desk. I would not stay here again.
