I would absolutely give this resort not a single star if I was able. We were suppose to check in on Friday and they gave us a unit that had a window unit that didn’t even work which my husband has to have air because of his medical issues, the room was nasty and had black stuff in the carpet, smelled, and stairs that my husband nearly fell down right from the beginning. Which we said we said we made a request when we booked over a year ago but was called a liar and said we didn’t request anything! We also requested that our rooms be as close as possible but we made no request! When I went down to the customer service desk the First Lady we talked to seemed to actually care but you know she can’t do anything so when she went to talk to the manger that proceeded to come out laughing and would not even look to see if they had anything else for us to swap to they were completely booked but it was funny I could go online and book something. Then I asked to speak to his boss because he was acting very disrespectful and rude. His boss also came out laughing and when I pointed it out to her of course she wasn’t laughing about this situation! She wouldn’t look for any other rooms either and didn’t really care at all what was going on or anything. She was rude disrespectful and absolutely didn’t care at all! She was to busy laughing! Anyway we canceled our rooms and then had to hunt for somewhere to stay the night. I am saying this to say we are owners with Westgate and have been for at least 28 years, and the way we were treated was down right shameful!! Also the maintenance we pay for the up keep on these resorts needs to be going to maintain the resorts not filling pockets!! I don’t know about any other Westgate owners but I know we are already getting maintenance fees, exchange fees, and miscellaneous fees (I won’t even start on Taxes) to death then get to the resort to be treated like crap and have to stay in crap is ridiculous!! While any other person that is booking from any sight is treated like top priority and the OWNERS are treated like crap!! Why? Why does it have to be like this at all? Why can’t Westgate keep their properties up and treat everyone with kindness and respect?? It is very sickening know how much money just my family has paid to this company!!!!

This is the worst vacation I have ever had. The service was terrible, nobody knew what they were doing, and out room was horrible. At night there were bats and rats on our balcony and a ton of rat and bat feces all over the balcony every morning. We had a hard time sleeping at night because you could hear rats running up and down the ceiling or walls. The whole place was nasty, garbage everywhere. We were gonna go on a tour of the place and they messed up our reservation for one, young kids not knowing what they were doing. Then when I complained to one of the directors, they took no responsibility, insulted me personally, which is so unprofessional. I told him this place was really going down and I had been a manager for 30 years and this was not good management. I did not insult him personally. He said being a manger or McDonalds didn't count, which it would have, but I said no I was not a manager there. He said, oh then Wendys. I have never been in the fast food industry, but that was a very low blow. He was obviously just a low grade person trying to overcompensate for his lack of ability. It's a shame, but their is always karma. Do not come here, it is really bad.
Whatever you do, don't take the promotion.They give you for cheaper deals.
You will sit through what they call a 90 minute tour. But its actually hours long. Because not only does the tour start after they feed you, you then get sucked into sitting longer and its impossible to get away because they will pressure you and make you think everything is so great. Meanwhile you have no time to think and next thing you know you get suckered into a timeshare like we did. Yes embarrassing but lucky I read the papers after having buyers remorse and found out you can still cancel if its within the 5 day cool off period by missouri law. That's something they definitely don't mention.
Anyways I canceled via mail at the post office the very next day after having time to think because it just wasn't for us.
I returned to westgate to return the binder/bag and tablet and of course they tried to get me to get a 1 bedroom timeshare as if i want there to return everything and let them know I already canceled via mail. Either way they sent another lady in to bribe me and told me if I took the offer she would be able to refund me same day right away BUT of course I kindly say no thanks and since I didn't take the bribe I now had no chance at getting my money from them. I now have to wait for corporate of course.
I of course mention how it was unbelievable that since I didn't take the ladies bribe and now I don't get my money same day and the 1st lady said she will put in a request to get it faster.
So I guess we'll see what happens especially since I just spoke the truth.

There’s a lot of negative things about this resort. A lot of the staff is snobby and acts as if you asking for more towels is the most awful request you could possibly make. They also don’t seem to clean their coffee pots so watch out for that. The walls have a lot of marks on them which isn’t too bad, but just takes away from the physical appearance of your room. They didn’t properly stock our room before we came. They gave us two towels when there’s four of us, so not the best start, but hey could’ve been a simple mistake. What wasn’t a simple mistake is all staff members snobby and annoyed responses to legit anything. The beds are pretty comfy and our room was overall decent. I must say, beware of the water pressure at this place. It was basically a trickle in our room. Neither my hair or body could get completely wet in the shower, even if I stood in there for 20 minutes. I couldn’t wash all my shampoo out and it led to my hair feeling awful our entire trip. We would not stay here again, it was a very unwelcoming and annoying experience. We expected more from a place like this, but it is what it is.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. We were in building 3200, which is a HIKE from any amenities, my lack of five stars is for this reason - all amenities are in a central location but not easily accessible by walking and they don't have scooters or rental golf carts, so you either drive or wait on the shuttle which isn't always available.
Rooms: beautiful and big, bedroom with desk, two-person tub, lounge chair, access to patio; living room with visual-only fire place, two couches, big TV and access to patio; kitchen with large dining table, breakfast bar seating, dishwasher, small washer/dryer, regular-sized fridge/freezer, sink, cupboard space, and dishes; large bathroom with separate toilet and shower/sink spaces, shower is a rain shower and also has a regular head (unfortunately neither had great pressure and we're immovable so they sprayed outside the shower and weren't easy to clean your whole body); patio had two chairs and a table, no view because of all the trees but tons of bird, gecko, and groundhog visitors daily (groundhogs were my fav to watch and feed)!
Amenities: tons of things for the kids, not as much for adults - kids center with arcade, painting and craft room, video game and play area, rock climbing, and planned activities each day. Outdoor activities (multiple in different locations): shuffle board, basketball, volleyball, fire pit, picnic seating areas, parking lots, 1 large pool that is kiddie to 6 feet deep (very busy with kids daily) and an outdoor hot tub, 1 indoor pool 3-5feet, and 1 isolated outdoor pool (hidden gem if you want a quieter experience). Marketplace has good ice cream and starbuck drinks, food (pizza options) wasn't very good and tons of grocery and souvenir items to buy, plus a board game room; foosball and pingpong right outside and a mini golf course.
Dinner show offered weekly to promo Branson shows, offer famous Dave's meal and 7 singers who sang 1-2 songs each. Nicely done!
Beautiful waterfall acccess just a short walk from our building too! Plus Branson downtown is only a few miles from the entrance of the resort.
Service was great, all the staff were nice and considerate, just shoot a text out and you can get whatever you need pretty quickly!
