  Just wanted to say that we have always loved staying at this hotel for the last 3 years. I have never given this negative of a review, but felt we should. we stayed a couple of weekends ago August 21-24......this year was not good at all like last 3 years. The hotel has went downhill tremendously. When we first got there, they put us in room 218 which smelled terribly musty and moldy, and I wiped down tables, mirrors, but it still had terrible smell. Had an air conditioning unit, portable to take care of things but it was vented to outside and there was a hole to where it was vented so that it let in the outside air, consequently the room was still humid, musty, moldy. Should have NEVER been rented out. We did go and tell front desk clerk, and he said he had one other room which turned out to be clean. But, there is disrepair everywhere in the building. Fridge in our room-218 rusty, and ice machine didn't work. Dents in doors as well and lose faucets, and tub leaking and dirty dish under sink in 218. We did stay in 332 because it was clean and air conditioning working good. But the swimming pool area and vents were dirty, and the hot tub, had film on bottom of hot tub, that was black, it looked disgusting and we never used pool or hot tub. Mold/fuzz also by fire place in lobby. Also, there was only 1 person working on Saturday and Sundays to take care of cleaning, front desk and breakfast. She is the only reason we gave this place a 2 rating, otherwise, it would have been 0. She tried everything to make things right and clean. But she is only one person. The air conditioning unit on 2nd floor also at end of hallway not working, so that floor was hot and musty smelling, and the carpeting in most areas didn't appear to be vacuumed regular, very dirty. This place used to always be clean, and it is so convenient to everything downtown, restaurants, etc. Please fix this place up to what it used to be, you could have a wonderful place again. It just needs routine maintenance to fix, basic problems. Please fix this hotel, such a wonderful location and convenient for people.   The first room I was put in had some very severe water damage, wood rot, and even large MUSHROOMS growing out of the baseboards in the kitchen area. Needless to say I requested to change rooms, because who knows what was growing behind the walls of that room. When I requested a new room, there was no apology, no thanking me for bringing the issue to their attention. They just gave me a new room and sent me on my way. I was very disgusted by the whole situation. My second room was more tolerable. However, one of the lamps had a broken switch and wouldn't turn off. The shampoo and body wash dispensers were completely empty. There was a broken outlet cover that they haven't even bothered replacing. It's a 50 cent part and 1 minute of labor. I get the feeling that they just don't care about the building or their guests. On the positive side the beds were very comfortable and I slept well. There are enough amenities in the building to satisfy me. And it was nice to have a full size fridge. I was here once before and it was great, but with the mushroom encounter I don't think I will be staying here again.

  My girls were not happy at all. Granddaughters surgery discount was poo! They had to relocate 3 rooms to find something suitable!

  I had a wonderful stay at St. Cloud GrandStay! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The entire property had a great atmosphere, and the service made my stay even better. Everything was convenient and comfortable, and I truly appreciated how helpful the staff was throughout my visit. I would definitely recommend GrandStay to anyone visiting St. Cloud and would be happy to stay here again!

  We checked in on Thursday behind a person with all of their belongings, including their bird at the cage. Another person with all of their belongings and a cat and a carrier. The hallway smelled of marijuana. We found a tick in our bathroom. We checked in and checked out within an hour and found another hotel. We used Hotels.com, which hasn’t been any help to get a refund for the next four days that we were staying. And the hotel refuses to give us a refund based on the uncleanliness and false advertisement of what they offer.
