- HGHolly GibsonMay 31, 20263.0Have just returned from a two night stay at this hotel. Lobby: Clean, smells amazing right when you walk in. Staff: all interactions had by my family were pleasant, no problems at all. Breakfast: not bad but just a basic continental, nothing stand out about it. Pool/facility: hot tub looked as if it needed a clean, pool was enjoyed by those that used it, and the sound was well contained/did not bleed into the lobby or hallways much at all. Room: we had a 2 bedroom suite due to our travel party. Right away the door key swipe was iffy. Sometimes it worked first go, sometimes it took 5 swipes to get it to read the card. The suite has some nice things. Full size fridge, microwave, decent little kitchen. Beds were ok, not plush but not the worst thing I’ve ever slept on. The living room furniture did suck though. The couch is a pull out and if sitting on it in “couch” position was uncomfortable, I can only imagine what “bed” position would be like. The extra arm chairs in the room were narrow and uncomfortable. The bathroom was functionally fine, but dated. I think this room is original to the hotel build. Honestly I don’t think this hotel suffers from any local staff issues, I think it suffers by the franchisee and brand not putting money into modernizing. Something immediately helpful would be new door handles that support smartphone app keys. Overall a fine stay but we would probably stay elsewhere next time we are in the area.
