Love how the volunteers upkeep the trails. It's a beautiful place to escape pressures and just a short drive from my place.

The Treaty Site History Center, run by the Nicollet County Historical Society, has an excellent indoor museum with engaging displays and detailed information about the treaty signing. The indoor portion is definitely the highlight.
The outdoor ¾‑mile interpretive trail managed by the Minnesota State Historical Society could use some maintenance, the weeds were quite high in some areas (noted in my pic). We didn’t explore the trails down by the river and only walked the main ¾‑mile loop. It includes a few interpretive boards with historical context, but if you’re looking for more detailed history, the museum inside is far more informative.
Overall, don’t plan on getting much historical content from just walking the loop — the real value is inside the history center itself.

This was really amazing for me. While experience may vary; I think this is a place every single Minnesotan should visit at least once.

I used the bike trails. They are dirt trails good for mountain biking or Fat biking.
