Stay smart at the Newly Renovated Holiday Inn Express & Suites Minneapolis West End — 5 minutes from downtown, without downtown prices or downtown parking fees. Easy I-394 and Highway 100 access puts you minutes from Target Field, Target Center, US Bank Stadium, Plymouth Ice Center, Braemar Arena, the Minneapolis Convention Center, and The Shops at West End.
Every stay includes a hot breakfast and free high-speed Wi-Fi. Our breakfast goes well beyond continental — eggs, bacon, sausage, frosted cinnamon rolls, yogurt, hot and cold cereal, fresh fruit, and a full juice selection. Fuel up, then get on with your day.
Families and youth sports teams choose us as their Minneapolis home base. Our heated indoor pool gives kids a place to land after a long day of games or travel. One-bedroom suites with sofa beds, a microwave, and a refrigerator give the whole group room to spread out — at rates that beat anything downtown. Group room blocks are available; ask our front desk about team rates.
We are steps from The Shops at West End, multiple restaurants, a full-service grocery store, a pharmacy, and a gas station. Every guest room includes a microwave and refrigerator as a standard feature — not an upgrade. Whether you are here for business, a game, a tournament, or a weekend away, we have what you need at a price that makes sense.

Worst stay. I made a reservation after 12am and the front desk person who did the night shift person said I’m not suppose to make the reservation that time and she spoke very rudely and after 15minutes argument she gave me the room by saying that she will complain on me to her supervisor. I don’t know what the hell was going on in the night shift . IHG ONE REWARD app allowed me to book a room at the midnight and what’s her problem . Never recommend this hotel especially who wanna check-in at night .
Upon arriving all the pillows have some or other stains and all have wrinkles.

I’ve stayed at this Holiday Inn Express property before and have always had a positive experience. Unfortunately, my most recent stay left me disappointed.
At check-in, I was informed that there is now an additional $10 per night parking fee on top of the room charges. I find this particularly unreasonable given that the hotel is located in a suburban area where parking is readily available and certainly does not appear to be at a premium.
I have two concerns with this new charge. First, there was no clear indication during the booking process that parking would be an additional expense. Guests should be made aware of mandatory fees before completing a reservation, not upon arrival.
Second, the fee feels less like a legitimate parking expense and more like an unnecessary revenue add-on. After contacting IHG, I was told that parking fees such as this are established locally by the individual property and are not controlled by IHG. That makes the decision even more disappointing.
On principle, I chose to cancel both my current reservation and an upcoming booking I already had at this property. I instead booked a nearby hotel of comparable quality that does not impose an additional parking fee. The difference was not about the $10 itself; it was about the principle of adding an unexpected charge for something that has traditionally been included and is readily available in this location.
I have enjoyed staying at this property in the past, which makes this change especially disappointing. I hope management reconsiders the policy—or, at minimum, ensures the fee is clearly and prominently disclosed upfront so guests can make an informed decision before booking.
