This place was super cute and I loved tho old style esthetic of it all. On top of such a homey feel, the front desk attendant Aniyah was the greatest. Super sweet and informative, each passing we had a small conversation to begin for end our day. Patrick also checked on us during our visit to the pool which is another lovely spot. We really appreciate great service and hospitality.
We will be returning and highly recommend this hotel. It’s has great location as well.

This place probably deserves 4.5 but giving it only 4 stars would be wrong. The rooms are CLEAN, most importantly. Some slightly annoying things- no continental breakfast, bathrooms are a bit small, there is not a single staff member on site that is in a hustle—ever ;). But the positives far outweigh! The staff were so sweet with our chatty teens, the rooms and bathroom were spotless, glass cups in the room and filtered water nearby, but most importantly the pool! All new hotels have a small pool shoved in some tiny, tiled room with low ceilings resulting in them being so loud and chlorine filled. The tall, bright pool area was so appreciated. The restaurant attached was delicious and we had a couple great chats with the French chef. This will always be the spot we grab when staying in Minneapolis. Thanks to this hotel and staff members for a great few days

Came to town for Summerslam so there were events at the convention center and US Bank Stadium.... This hotel has been awesome and will definitely use again when in town. The rooms are clean and quiet, the pool area is also clean and very nice, and there is a restaurant on site but we didn't get a chance to eat there. The staff and location though - A+++++! The staff go out of their way for you and are just so polite and friendly. This hotel is a quick 10 minute walk to the convention center and 10 minute walk to US Bank Stadium. The hotel does offer a shuttle service to the convention center (not the stadium) free of charge. I'd recommend this hotel any day to anyone coming into town for an event in this area!

We stayed here three nights. Check-in took longer than expected as I did everything for precheck in on the phone but those in front of me did not so it didn't seem to save much time. There's no room service as stated but when I asked for more towels at the front desk, they kindly accommodated. Everyone working was very friendly. The pool isn't very large but for a pool in the middle of downtown, it was nice and served its purpose for my kids. It was extremely hot in the city during our stay and the hallways and elevator were really warm but our room was very comfortable. I'm not sure why reviews complained about the noise. I only heard outdoor traffic. The hotel is unique, clean, and a good value. Parking was easy and reasonable. There are also several restaurants, major venues, and a large Target within walking distance. My only complaint would be we were assured a shuttle could easily take us to the Target Center and back when we checked in but two days later when we went to take it, we were told they were understaffed and it wasn't running. It was one of the main reasons I chose the hotel. It was a 15 minute walk so it worked out but it was 100 degrees out. Perhaps sending a text or having a song available saying no shuttle today or not guaranteeing them would be appropriate. Overall, it was a good stay and I would recommend it.

We booked three poolside rooms for my brother's birthday because we've stayed at this hotel many times before and always had a good experience. Sadly, this stay was nothing like our previous visits.
The first thing we noticed was the ants. All three rooms had ants around the coffee makers, and there were ants in the pool area as well. The pool itself was fine, but the seating area around it was unbearably hot because the ventilation system wasn't working. It was so uncomfortable that no one wanted to sit there and enjoy the area.
Check-in didn't get things off to a great start either. Patrick told us we couldn't use our first responder discount and that we weren't allowed to pay for the rooms in cash. Throughout the weekend it was obvious the hotel was severely understaffed. We rarely saw any employees, and the one staff member we did see was running everywhere trying to do everything himself.
Two of our rooms also had air conditioning problems. We reported it, but were told the A/C was working and that it would eventually fix itself. It never did. One room never got cooler than 78°F, and another kept bouncing between 80°F and 74°F, making it very uncomfortable to sleep.
I also had terrible, completely flat pillows. I called the front desk several times to ask for replacements, but no one answered. I eventually had to walk to the front desk, where I was told someone would take care of it. Just like the ant problem, nothing was ever done. That seemed to be the pattern throughout our stay—our concerns were acknowledged but never actually addressed.
Calling the front desk in general was frustrating because most of the time no one answered the phone. To make things worse, one of the poolside rooms we had specifically reserved was changed to a room in one of the towers, away from the rest of our group. Since we had booked these rooms together to celebrate my brother's birthday, this was really disappointing.
At checkout we asked if the room rate could be adjusted because we didn't receive the accommodations we reserved. Alex, who was introduced as the on-site manager, told us he couldn't adjust the rate or deal with any of our concerns. Instead, he said the general manager would have to contact us. (I'm still waiting for that call. I called yesterday and today and I get an answering machine.) I find it hard to believe that on a busy Sunday morning there wasn't a manager on site with the authority to resolve guest issues before guests checked out.
It's disappointing because this used to be one of our favorite places to stay. Between the ants, the broken air conditioning, the unbearably hot pool seating area, the lack of staff, unanswered calls, ignored concerns, being moved out of one of our reserved poolside rooms, and the lack of management support, this was easily our worst stay here. We won't be coming back unless major changes are made.
