I hosted my daughter’s birthday party here and was met with the most accommodating and friendly staff! The pool had a little splash pad and zero entry! And The rates were unbelievably low for how good of quality the party room, pool and hotel room was, 10 out of 10 recommended and will continue bringing my family here

2 night stay on business. Good proximity to my customer, and large 1 bedroom suite. The room and the place overall are clean, but very dated. The bed was comfortable. The full kitchen is nice, but if I were here long enough to use it, there's 2 stove eyes and only a single pot to use. Shower worked fine, but shower head was dirty with hard water stains. The carpets in the hallway seemed newer and fine, but in the entry and lobby, as well as the room, plenty of stains. There's a huge rolloff container in the parking lot, so maybe they're redoing some rooms? Either way, they're also tossing garbage in it, because you can smell it for sure. Breakfast was probably the worst of any free breakfast I've had at a hotel. Other than the standard breads and cereal, there was pork sausage links and some kind of omelets. At 845AM there was 1 omelet left, and it was basically cooked to the bottom of the container. No forks. I had to dig around I the cabinets to find them. No hard boiled eggs, no fruit, and no yogurt. Also no cups for the juice, so I used a coffee cup. I won't stay here next time, and will stay further away to have a better experience.

Bed bugs found in our bed when we came back to the room from a wedding. Nobody was at the front desk for assistance, change of room, or refund.

This hotel has unfortunately gone downhill and is nowhere near as nice as it once was. The only thing that still feels "grand" is the nightly rate. The rooms constantly felt damp and musty, and both rooms we stayed in had visible mold around the A/C vents. The carpets throughout the hotel were dirty and long overdue for replacement. The kitchenette was sort of functional, but be aware you're only provided one pan if you plan to cook meals. Housekeeping was inconsistent...some days were fine, others were completely missed. The bright spot of our stay was the front desk staff. They worked incredibly hard, were always friendly, and provided excellent customer service (especially the woman that was working what seemed to be doctor's hours). Having washers and dryers on-site was convenient. Breakfast was mediocre at best. During our two-week stay, it was essentially the same every morning: some variation of eggs with bacon or sausage, along with bagels, English muffins, toast, pastries, cereal, waffles, juice, and coffee. Fresh fruit was almost nonexistent. The one day bananas were available, they were so overripe they were better suited for banana bread. For the price, this hotel simply doesn't deliver the value it once did. Next time, we'd rather stay in Owatonna and make the drive into town. Even with the extra gas and mileage, we'd end up in a cleaner hotel with better rates and a better breakfast. Unfortunately, unless changes are made, I find it unlikely that we'll be back.
