We were in Duluth and stayed here for a conference, as did many other folks. Only 2 very slow overworked elevators were working. Food was mediocre. Room was ok. Slept alright. Bathroom and vanity area could have been cleaner. The windows were unbelievably foggy between the panes. The door to the hallway looked like it was too small because light shone through like it was glowing. I should have taken a photo of that. I really liked they had dove liquid soaps and not those crappy little bars of hard soap. If I have a choice I would probably not stay here again. Way too expensive for a mediocre hotel room. They had coffee in the rooms. Unfortunately it wasn't Duluth brand coffee. The comforter smelled funny and could have used a good bleach bath. The Lyric, however was absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend.

We've been to this hotel a couple times, it's absolutely great, last night in their stainless steel hot tub, which was slippery as all hell, took a digger, smoked my head on the side, still a little concussion today
Trying to get a soak in before 10 p.m. at 9:55 and all the hotel staff had to say was get out as I'm bleeding in my mouth
No concerns, no worries about my self care as everyone who saw it were complaining to give me a minute
Probably be the last time we'll stay there

Disclaimer
Many people will just 5 star any Holiday Inn because they stay with them on some rewards program. Ive stayed in many myself but wasnt that impressed here after staying in several hotels in Duluth over the years.
Decent Upkeep
Rooms are solid. Great view from room. Good lights and ac/heater. But the fridge was locked at about 45° so couldn't use.
No Weekend Service
The service for our weekend was like walmart here. They have so many customers that an individual is not a big deal to them. Even asking front desk politely when they were free they didnt want to help. I think this is probably just the weekend night staff though, so I cant speak for everyone.
Facility Issues
One elevator was down and somehow the rest would take 5-10 minutes to get up and down 14th floor to parking or restaurant. Made it hard to meet up with people throughout the hotel.
Parking Spaces
Parking ramp is confusing in design but spacious, so no parking issues but the ticket reader is buggy so dont leave last minute for anything just in case its stuck.
Smell
The smoking area is right by the lobby so the smoke just blows in from the ramp due to tunnel winds. Not a fan personally, it made the lobby smell like an astray, event though thats the main hub to meet or pivot from.

The staff were friendly and professional, and the airport shuttle was very convenient. Unfortunately, the hotel itself could use some updates, and the room cleanliness left something to be desired. There were small issues like old popcorn under the nightstand that made the room feel less maintained than expected.
I also stayed during a period of downtown construction, which meant being woken up around 6:30 AM each morning by construction noise outside.
The biggest issue, however, involved the smoke detectors. On my second night, a detector somewhere on my floor malfunctioned and chirped once every minute for hours. Then, at around 2 AM, the smoke detector in my own room began doing the same thing. I contacted the front desk and was told maintenance would come up because the battery was dying, but after waiting about 30 minutes no one arrived. Thankfully, the detector eventually reset itself, but the situation cost me several hours of sleep.
Overall, the hotel is probably fine for a quick overnight stay, but I would hesitate to book a longer visit.

Had a horrible night. Arrived late, so exhausted. Tried to sleep, and kept hearing constant noise. At 1 am, had to call to change the room (as the noise cuz of CPAP breathing device which was really noisy). New room was in 14th floor- which had a terrible noise in the morning - for near construction
