  We enjoyed our two night stay. The beds were extremely comfortable. It was quiet and things were clean. We loved being right on the lake. Got two northerns at the dock. I had read somewhere when booking through Expedia or Google that they have free kayak rentals and that is not true so that was a disappointment. The only complaint I have that the buffet breakfast could’ve been better and the hallways are very dark.

  Always a great time at the DL Holiday Inn, Karaoke in the Lounge was hopping! Wedding Party Celebration going on, made things festive!

  If you want to smell cigarette smoke your entire stay this is the place for you. They have a no smoking policy but did not enforce it at all. My kids and I got to smell cigarette smoke for 4 days. The manager offered me $150 refund from the $1,000 I spent but told me the couple who was smoking above my room on their balcony (which is against their policy) got fined $250. But offered me less than what they fined those people. I will be disputing the charges with my credit card company. We had 7 rooms booked for a family vacation and we will not be returning. I went to the front desk 3 seperate times, 3 seperate days and only on the 3rd time did someone walkout to look at who was smoking on the balcony. The couple never got kicked out for not following policy.

  When your room is massively dirty and nobody cares at the front desk and just “we are sorry” seems to be the perfect answer, means that someone is not doing his job. I booked a room with balcony which btw is more expensive, to enjoy the lake views, but if the furniture is so dirty and with spider webs, then it’s not so funny anymore. The room has not been vacuumed since long time and guys, do you have a cleaning and maintenance program in place? For roughly 200 USD for the room, you expect to get a cleaning room, no black hairs in the toilet and a decent balcony, which is the main reason why someone chooses the lake views and pays for it. Now I got contact by email, no pants to give a call, by Mr. Dylan Schmoll, and basically his message is the same…we value customers feedback and we have a great track record, sorry and hope we can make it better next time you come….😳 Dylan, trust me, you will never see me in this hotel that has only one thing, a good location. See the attached pictures and maybe you understand it. This shows that you are not doing things right and you should not be in this business!
