  If you want a clean hotel with nice pool and hot tub and free breakfast, this is the place for you. My only complaint is that the shades in the rooms do not keep out all of the sun out ( and the curtains are decorations so you can’t shut them) . Breakfast was good, but was getting very low on food . I asked the front desk and then they happily added more. The front desk and maids were pretty nice , only one woman in the late evening was a little irritated at some questions I had .

  This is a 2-star hotel, so maybe my expectations are too high, but... Room pros: decent looking, fridge works, comfortable beds, generally clean Cons: very dated bathtubs, no tissues, VERY humid in the room (gross honestly) Hotel pros: friendly staff but generally not at the front desk, pretty clean, decent pool area Cons: ran out of breakfast items when and nothing really allergy friendly, super humid in hallways Our stay was going alright until front desk staff started banging on our door and said "the room below you is flooding...we are going to have to shut off your water". Mind you, it's about 11pm and we still aren't done using the bathroom. I realize these things can happen, but this has literally never happened in my approximately 40 years of traveling. When I called down to the desk, I was told there was no resolution-we could use the bathroom in the lobby because we had overflowed the tub. "Sorry, we are out of rooms". I found out the people below us switched rooms. I was also told "there is no maintenance on the weekends and it would be fixed Monday". That's completely ridiculous, sorry. Hotels have on call maintenance for this reason. I'm glad we decided not to stay another night. Being told you need to use a lobby bathroom for the remainder of your stay isn't great news. We were told we could shower in the pool bathroom. We had in fact not overflowed the tub. The little amount of water an overflow valve would produce wouldn't flood an entire room. I was actually very careful about filling the tub. I got in first, and I had my daughter shut off the water before it got that high. There was no water on the floor, and it didn't appear the toilet was leaking either. I reported this to two other people who weren't staying with us and both of them said it sounded like a crap explanation. Anyway, we were also not told at all if the issue would be fixed or if we'd be able to use the bathroom at all the next day, so they get zero points for communication. It's a great location, but unfortunately I would never stay here again with kids or a family. Walking down to the lobby to take your child to the bathroom in the middle of the night in your pjs doesn't scream "relaxing vacation".

  We recently stayed at GrandStay Hotel & Suites for two nights while traveling to Minnesota to photograph a wedding, and I had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean everything was. Our room was absolutely immaculate, and the entire hotel felt well-maintained and welcoming. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, and the gal who checked us in (I unfortunately didn't catch her name!) even spent some time chatting with me about photography and cameras, which was a nice personal touch after a long drive. One of the highlights of our stay was how comfortable the bed was. My partner and I kept commenting on it throughout our stay! We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast before heading home. The breakfast potatoes and breakfast burritos were delicious and definitely exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect for us, only about 30 minutes from the wedding venue in Ogilvie, making travel easy and convenient. My only minor complaint was that our room keys stopped working twice during our stay. Thankfully, it was a quick fix, and the front desk reactivated them right away without any hassle. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and would happily recommend GrandStay Hotel & Suites to anyone visiting the area. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, and a great breakfast made for a fantastic stay.

  I really enjoyed my stay here, absolutely would stay here again. Tub took a really long time to drain, which is my only complaint.
