  Transportation from the airport was terrible. Called nonstop for 45 min for shuttle and couldn’t get past voicemail. Called IHG and they couldn’t reach the hotel either. We only got the shuttle because it just showed up. At check-in we knew why we couldn’t get past voicemail…. Phone was intentionally off the hook. (Note photo). Room was terrible. Holes in the carpet, bathroom was moldy, elevator not working. Place is falling apart. Would not pay to stay here again.

  The disrespect I get from when I speak on the phone asking for help and directions was very inappropriate and unprofessional. The Front desk (Leonardo) should NOT be taking calls if he cant talk with respect. I waited at the airport pick up for 2 hours tonight after returning my car rental. Lady in front gave me a contact number to call so they can send a shuttle. First, she should’ve told me they will only be picking up at Terminal 1 NOT terminal 2. Waited a full hour, till I called 3 times and they finally told me one Terminal 1 is in route. I have to now take a bus to get there to terminal 1. I get there and wait another hour for a NO show. So I had to get an uber. Not only that but take the train to Another destination. While waiting I kept calling to make sure I was where I needed to be and Leonardo with Smart ASS remarks saying, “they picked up people already you should’ve stayed with them.” “Sir, I’ve sent the shuttle out and they’re NOT going anymore for you. The driver is finished working for the day.” Hangs up before I can speak! People from out of town don’t know the airport that well, and as I know there’s only two locations where the buses, hotel shuttles can enter and pick you up. So I waited, wasted my time and had disrespect on the phone from the front desk. Never again!

  We checked in yesterday to the hotel. When we arrived, the staff that checked us in seemed very inhospitable and rude. His whole demeanor was like I was annoying him for checking in. He didn't explain the hotel parking situation - even where to go to access it. He didn't mention you'd have to walk fairly far with luggage after parking either. We get to the room and use our keycard and it works. But I kid you not, I push the door handle slightly even before turning it and the door opens by itself! We tested it and realized someone must not have closed the door all the way and it didn't latch. What a safety nightmare! This morning, we got up to take showers and turned it on. The tub filled with brown specs from who knows where. The wall in the bathroom had a shoddy repair job done to it, so I suspect it came from there. The tub also did not drain at all! Even after 15 minutes it still had lots of water sitting in it. We immediately packed our things and checked out. Who knows what other secrets the room holds, and we weren't gonna stay to find out. I told the staff member that we were checking out early because of issues with the room, and they didn't even bother to ask what was wrong with the room. Made no attempt to apologize for our experience or make it right. Seemed like a common occurrence for them. Severe lack of hospitality all around for hotel staff. Would never stay at or recommend this place again!

  First visit. Once inside check in was a breeze. The elevators are a bit beat up but fully functional. My room was very nice. The climate control was perfect. The bathroom was also very nice. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. I went to the front desk later in the evening and the guy at the desk wasn't very helpful or nice. Breakfast is not free unless you have a voucher of some kind. I was told none of this. The shuttle to the airport is every 20 minutes and very efficient. If I can figure out the breakfast deal I'd stay again.

  I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but I feel this experience should be shared. As an Aire MSP resident, I’m permitted to use the Crowne Plaza shuttle as one of the benefits of living in the building. While waiting at Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, I requested the shuttle using the hotel’s text service but never received a response. After waiting over 30 minutes, I called the front desk to ask for a status update. I was told the shuttle comes every 20 minutes, but when I explained I had already been waiting longer than that and simply asked where it was, the front desk employee responded, “I don’t know. I’m just the front desk,” and hung up on me. After waiting approximately 45 minutes total, I called back, remained polite, and again asked if there was any update. This time I was told, “I do not have to respond to your complaints, and you are obviously in the wrong spot.” When I explained that I use the shuttle almost every day and knew I was at the correct pickup location, he replied, “I don’t have to talk to you anymore,” and hung up on me a second time. I completely understand that shuttle delays happen and that the front desk may not have direct control over the shuttle. My frustration is not with the delay—it’s with the way I was treated. A simple apology or an honest “I’m not sure, but I’ll see if I can find out” would have gone a long way. I hope management reviews this interaction and reinforces the importance of treating guests and residents with professionalism and courtesy, even when there isn’t an immediate answer.
