I am writing my review to share how great the management of this location is. Sunny was so pleasant and welcoming. When we had an issue with our room she was able to resolve that to our satisfaction going above and beyond. So Grandstay is lucky to have such a great person to manage over their hotel. Everything at this hotel is great and the space was large and comfortable. We will definitely continue to use this as our go to for our hotel stays. Thank you Sunny!
We booked a six‑night stay at this hotel while visiting friends and family, but the experience fell far short of what an extended‑stay property should provide. The hotel advertises a “well‑equipped kitchen featuring a full-size refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, two‑burner stove, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, and utensils.” Unfortunately, this was misleading. Our room contained no cooking utensils, no glasses, and only a handful of mismatched items: one butter knife, two spoons, two forks, two coffee cups, and three plates. Thanks to the Goodwill store a couple blocks away, room 427 now has at least a better inventory than when we arrived.
When we asked the front desk about this, staff retrieved a few items from the breakfast prep area — a mixing spoon, spatula, frying pan, and two glasses. It was clear the room was not stocked as advertised.
Mid‑week, the water in our room shut off completely while we were in the shower. When we called the front desk to ask whether this was a building‑wide issue, we were told, “There is no problem with the water here; I’ll let the owner know.” No one followed up, and over the next several hours the water turned on and off multiple times, confirming there was indeed a problem.
The Internet service was equally unreliable. On most days we couldn’t connect at all and had to rely on our mobile hotspot to get work done. Other reviews mention the same issue, and although management replies that they are “looking into these matters,” it appears nothing has changed.
The pool and hot tub area was another disappointment. A sign instructs guests to “press the button” to activate the hot tub, but no such button exists. The timer dial does nothing, and when we asked the front desk, an employee was sent in to tell us that “no one here knows how it works.”
Overall, this was a poor experience from start to finish. The property does not meet the standards of an extended‑stay hotel, and we will not be returning.

I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.
The property is extremely run down, poorly maintained, and far below the standard that most guests would reasonably expect. However, the condition of the hotel was not even the worst part of our stay.
What was truly shocking was the behavior of several staff members. During our visit, I overheard employees making racist comments about Black people openly and within earshot of guests. As a white guest traveling with my children, I found this completely unacceptable and disturbing. No guest should have to witness that kind of behavior, especially with children present.
The professionalism of the staff was equally disappointing. The new general manager was extremely unprofessional and showed little concern for guest satisfaction. The front desk staff appeared indifferent to issues that were brought to their attention and made no effort to address concerns or improve our experience.
What makes this even more frustrating is that we stayed here a few months ago when the previous female manager was in charge, and the difference was night and day. Under her leadership, the hotel was much better managed, staff were more professional, and guests seemed to matter. Since the management change, the overall quality of the property and customer service has clearly declined.
Between the deteriorating condition of the hotel, the rude and unprofessional staff, and the racist remarks we witnessed, this was one of the worst hotel experiences our family has had. My fiancé booked this hotel and next time we travel I will certainly be in charge of finding our hotel. We will not be returning and cannot recommend this property to others.

I had a terrible experience staying here. The Wi-Fi barely worked, and when it did, it was extremely slow. The room keys were unreliable and stopped working multiple times, forcing me to call the front desk repeatedly for help. My room was okay, but definitely not worth the price. Keep in mind they don't even have weights at their so called gym. Overall, the service and amenities did not meet my expectations. If you're planning to stay in Apple Valley, I would recommend looking elsewhere. I would not stay here again.

They don’t give you what you paid for and the website is supposedly not theirs. The person that is at the desk does not care about your stay and is super rude and does not change to make sure your stay is what you want. The service is super rude and does not care about their customers. I rate this place a 1 don’t ever come here the staff does not care. Worst place ever lies about the rooms and prices. Asked for an extra blanket and was told there was other guest in the hotel and found some wood chips and some tote-nails in the Hyde bed. Kitchen was not updated with supplies. Only 2 Remotes for three tv’s. The staff did not understand English so had to repeat ourselves 5 times for us to get what we wanted.
