The room was clean, but not well kept. Broken floor tiles, peeling paint in the bathroom, and nothing to absorb sound. It was like staying in a can.

We stay at this hotel every year for the past four years. Every year the cleanliness and service has gone down! Will not stay here again. Hotel was not clean.... feet were black on bottom when walking barefoot in room, no salt/pepper shakers refilled, drawers and cabinets broken in kitchen, toilet paper holder falling off wall. No attention to detail anymore when brought up to staff everyone keeps shifting to manager. When talking to manager tons of excuses on why not clean!! The girl at front desk just does not seem to care no expression at all! I would not recommend!!!!

1-star: A clogged toilet that was never fixed, and a manager who lied about it to my face We stayed here as a family with four kids on a Minneapolis trip, and what should have been a minor plumbing issue turned into a multi-day ordeal that says everything about how this property is run. On our second day, I reported a clogged pool-area toilet at 9am. The manager on duty barely acknowledged it. It sat unaddressed all day — by evening it had gone from "clogged" to a fully nonfunctional cesspit, and the adjacent hot tub had floating food debris in it. My kids saw it in that state and did not want to stay. That same night, our own room's toilet backed up too. I asked the night manager for a plunger. He said he'd look — then I found him twenty minutes later hanging out with friends in the lobby, drinking Slurpees, having done nothing. After ringing the front desk bell with no response and hour later, I drove to Target at 10pm and bought my own plunger to fix my family's bathroom myself, on vacation, because the hotel couldn't be bothered. When I got back, the same night manager who'd failed to help for hours asked to borrow the plunger I'd just purchased — for a different guest. I told him the situation was insane and he told me to tell the morning manager. When I cleared my room toilet I brought him the plunger, but he told me he'd "found some plungers" and that "there was no problem now." I strongly disagreed, as the hotel apparently didn't have plans on how to address complex concerns like a clogged toilet - or two, or three... The next morning at checkout, the manager on duty — the same one who'd been smoking cigarettes outside the front entrance repeatedly throughout our stay (my kids noticed and commented on it themselves) — asked how our stay was. I told him everything. He flatly denied the pool bathroom was still an issue, claiming he'd "checked it that morning." I told him I had literally just come from that bathroom to his desk. He just grimaced and then asked if "everything else" was satisfactory, with zero acknowledgment of what he'd just been caught lying about. A clogged toilet reported first thing in the morning should not still be a fully nonfunctional cesspit by the next day's checkout, with a plunger supply sitting on-site the whole time nobody knew where it was located. If a hotel can't be bothered to fix a toilet in under 24 hours, or be honest about it when confronted, I have real concerns about what else goes unaddressed here. My kids' renamed the hotel from The Grand Stay Hotel to The Plunger Problem Hotel, as my evening was spent driving to Target for basic sanitation supplies the hotel should have had, and management lied about it rather than own it, or offer any apology or compensation attempt. Families considering this hotel: know what you might be walking into.

Staff were responsive, breakfast was outstanding hotel was more updated than most for the price, it was quiet and comfortable pool was open late. They accommodated late check in and gave a welcoming orientation to the area and the property when I arrived. The room and property needed cleaning throughout. Fingerprints on windows.. my room needed a lot of cleaning. I had to ask for towels, pillows and bed linens. I mopped the floor and cleaned the bathroom . The tub was slow to drain . the shower head leaked horribly & sprayed water everywhere. There was no ventilation fan. I loved loved the actual room. I got the queen suite . It had a full kitchen a private bedroom. Also a high top table . Both rooms had darkening blinds. . The pull out sofa was needing repair at the bottom so the bottom half of the mattress sink a bit but it wasn’t uncomfortable. It was belongings from the previous guests underneath the alphabet on the floor as well as dirt and some garbage. There was grim and matted food stuck onto the floor in the living room and kitchen and the bedroom the stains in multiple places on the walls the edges along the walls were filthy with grime and garbage and dirt. The drawers were filthy inside. The surface is needed to be wiped down or were stained. The television remote did not work . The pool area was small but clean and open late check. Very great room for the price hotel was dirty but staff were great breakfast was exceptional. The door to the room didn’t lock correctly - that was an issue because my fob used privacy logic to close it securely and I got locked out of room for most of the late night - 😒
