  If we come through Albert Lea again we will definitely stay here! The staff were all welcoming and friendly. The room was perfect with comfortable beds, plenty of room, and the shower was hot with great pressure! We were also impressed with the breakfast and everyone in the family found something tasty to enjoy. Added bonus is that it is near the interstate and there are plenty of restaurants and gas stations nearby.

  This place is DISGUSTING!!!! The entire hotel has the A/C set at the lowest it can possibly be, probably to cut costs. It was so HOT in the lobby and all the hallways, during a heat wave this is absolutely inhumane. Musty and dirty smelling all throughout the hallways. Dining room had food just sitting out, flys all over the lobby. Flooring and carpet are so gross and unmaintained, lobby wasn't even swept. The "clean" room had hair everywhere. Mold and cracks in the bathroom, the floor, sink and bath all has hair in them. Trim from the bathroom ceiling falling off. No. Way. Anyone actually cleaned this room, or maintains them long term in anyway. Found hair on the bed when I peeled back the top sheet 🤢🤮 The headboard was pleather and peeling off in a huge patch on each bed. $170 for 1 night, 2 double beds, old, dark and gross. Also the AC in the room barely works and has BLACK MOLD!!! Save yourselves, if you have standards don't even bother with Albert Lea. This was the highest rated hotel in the area, we drove all the way to Fairmont and got a way better place that was actually clean, for exactly the same price. I will say Jeff the general manager did come to our room and tried to make things right. He was willing to move us rooms, however we decided to move on and he was willing to give us a refund. This place needs some real, actual help, the mold/cleanliness issues are a health hazard.

  We checked in late, exhausted after a day of travel. The room was absolutely disgusting,filthy sheets, filthy bathroom. Hotel was full and room change was not available to us. If we weren’t exhausted we would have moved. The night manager helped changed all linens, cleaned surfaces, floors, etc. I have lost confidence in the quality hotel chain.

  An unplanned stop on a road trip and love the stay here. Room was very comfortable and the best water pressure I've ever had in a hotel. Breakfast was the typical buffet at holiday Inn expresses and enjoyable.
