- CDChris Dalian5 days ago1.0Hotel indigo has such great potential, but we had a really disappointing stay. Great location, but the staff, aside from the valet, do the least required. They barely cleaned our room while we were there- multiple piles of sand were visible that remained for days which we noticed upon arrival. The bed was never made fully/correctly. They often didn’t clean the room until 6pm. Our room’s phone didn’t work and when mentioned in the morning at the front desk, nothing happened until I reminded the desk again at 6pm. At that time no maintenance was around, so it delayed another day. I never heard another update…. It just was broken the whole time so no ability to call the valet desk or front desk for anything. In my opinion, the staff needs to learn how to be proactive, anticipatory, and communicative- the front desk barely made eye contact with me each time I spoke to them. The room cleaners do the minimum required... We will not be coming back to this place and try our luck elsewhere or just Airbnb (this experience felt like Airbnb honestly). I’d recommend management invest in hospitality training for every role. The staff is the main issue at this place.

We raised concerns about the cleanliness of our room, but the issues were never properly addressed and the room still was not cleaned. After complaining, we were then locked out of our room, which made the experience even more frustrating and unacceptable. Extremely disappointing stay and not what I would expect from an IHG property.
