This was probably the worst experience I've ever had I drove from the lower peninsula all the way to this place for vacation for my 13th anniversary I paid for my hotel ahead of time which was $150 some dollars when I when I got to the hotel they charged me another hundred dollars for so-called incidental fee that I was promised to get back when I checked out I did not get it back it's been 3 days later and I still haven't received $100 that they took from me from no reason the room was left in the same condition I found it in I was promised a Jacuzzi with nice Jets a lakefront Beach and also a nice pool the Jets on the jacuzzi did not work there was so many rocks in the beachfront that if you were to jump in there to swim you would probably knock your head open and have a concussion couldn't even swim in the pool because I would get dirt particles in my eyes then when I got to my room to enjoy my night I had a total of 20 people sitting outside of my room having a bonfire being loud and belligerent while I am trying to have alone time with my husband I will not be returning to your hotel I will be finding a way to get my $100 back that was promised to me and I will be letting everybody know that this is not a place to go for a vacation or anniversary

My stay at Holiday Inn Express St. Ignace–Lake Front was genuinely wonderful. The hotel sits right on the lake, so every morning started with a calm breeze and a gorgeous view. The rooms were clean, cozy, and bright — exactly the kind of place where you can relax after a long day of exploring. One of my favorite parts was how comfortable the room felt. The bed was soft, the pillows were perfect, and even my teddy looked right at home sitting by the window enjoying the lakefront scenery. It’s the kind of hotel where you can bring something special from home and it just fits. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile. Breakfast was easy and tasty, with plenty of options to grab before heading out. The location made everything simple — close to Mackinac Island ferries, local shops, and beautiful walking spots. Overall, it was a peaceful, welcoming stay. My teddy and I both felt right at home, and I’d happily come back again.

If you want that 70's feel but have to pay today prices then I guess this is the place for you. There was a very dated jacuzzi tub next to the bed which also came with a very used was cloth. The floor were dirty and the furniture looked like they went to an estate sale and got what ever was available. My wife and myself ended up with bites on our arms and legs from either fleas or worse beg bugs so we are now fumigating all of our stuff before we bring it into the house. The breakfast was cold food that seemed like they just used what was left over from the day before. I pointed the problems with the room out to the desk and was told they would make a note of it so I ended my stay early and went to another hotel. I would avoid this place unless you like over paying for a room that should be updated and repaired.

Room was good, people were very nice, my issue is after I pay my bill and told what the cost is, they charge me over 100 dollars after I pay and leave for my dog, never a word about a daily charge for pets. When I called they told me I paid the original total until I said how much was taken out, then they said it's because you have a dog and it's a daily charge.

This is the hotel I used to stay at with my family when I was a kid and we’d come to the St. Ignace/Mackinaw City/Mackinac Island area! And honestly, it’s been about 18 years since I was last here, and it’s even nicer than I remember. Very clean and friendly, breakfast is served hot, coffee available all day, pool/hot tub open 24 hours. My room had an incredible view, especially at sunrise. The colors were breathtaking over Lake Huron. And, as an added bonus… I had no idea that my room had a whirlpool tub!!! That made trekking all over Mackinac Island and hiking at Tahquamenon Falls so much better… that was the best way to relax those exertion knots in my sore leg muscles. I will most certainly be back. Thanks for a wonderful vacation “Up North”!!
