  Definitely needs updates. Breakfast was good. $400 per night Id expect more. Boutique doesn’t mean old and broken. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

  I love the place and I came in with a soccer team mi burn and my daughter forgot her magnet sign on the door frame and I live 5 hours away and I was wondering if you guys can send it to me it will make her day she was crying all night about it the sign was a soccer ball that has her #1 on it please let me know

  We stayed at the Apple Tree this past weekend. First and LAST time staying at this brand! We were on the 4th floor. The room was awkward ... whirlpool tub in between the bathroom and the bed area. The shower is old and so small you couldn't bend to wash feet and the water came out scorching hot. The light over the bathroom sink didn't work. The toilet plumbing must have a slow leak because it would randomly have a loud swishing sound all thru the night. The room had a nice porch overlooking the town and the lake. It would have been great to sit out there and enjoy the view but the porch light placed directly above the sliding door was so bright it attracted all the bugs. The worse part is that you couldn't shut it. Even with the blackout drapes fully shut the room was lit up like grand central station. Terrible time sleeping there. The girl at the front desk said the porch lights are kept on for security reasons!

  We chose Petoskey as our "base" for exploring the area. Nicely located for all the fun in the area. The staff was friendly. The hotel was extremely quiet. That was appreciated after viewing the Milky Way and coming back late from Headlands International Dark Sky Park. We were even able to sleep in on Saturday. The balcony overlooking the bay was the perfect place for coffee in the morning and the sunset in the evening.

  I didnt have high expectations for this hotel but feel they could do better in some areas. First for the positives: friendly staff, fresh cookies at check in, good location with a 5 min drive downtown or about a 30 min walk, top floor balcony had good views of the bay, high pressure shower heads, clean bathrooms, spacious rooms, larger fridges, and a microwave. Now for what needs addressed: sheets and mattress covers were stained. They used queen size sheets and covers on a king bed which obviously would not stay in place. The balcony chairs were rough and rusted. The floors had stains. The light on the balcony is on all the time and the drapes do not block it well to make the room dark. This place did offer great sunset views.
