  Very safe, clean, comfortable hotel. Room was big with wonderful beds. Breakfast was very good and Jessica did an AWESOME job. The front desk staff was so nice. Thank you!

  Thoroughly modern hotel with large rooms and great breakfast! Even had a pancake making machine! The beds were comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. A shout out to Ty who checked us in and out...he's the best! Wish we could've stayed longer because it felt like home.

  We stay in rooms quite a bit due to travel sports, and this was one of the nicest. Usually if the staff knows you're with a team, you get treated like a nuisance. This wasn't the case here. And the rooms were the cleanest we've had all summer! We ended up getting a suite because it was a last minute scheduled tournament. But it was great, and would probably get it again if we play in the same area. Very comfortable accomodations and breakfast and coffee area were very clean and had nice options.

  The hotel called prior to our arrival to tell us someone else was in the family suite we booked. They were going to give us adjoining rooms instead. When we arrived, one of the adjoining rooms smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and the other room had dirty bedding. They had no other options, so our family of 5 had to stay in a double queen room despite originally booking months in advance a suite to accommodate us.

  So. We where on a motorcycle trip down in Ohio , we rode from Ontario crossed at Buffalo and rode all over Ohio , we had rooms booked in Monroe for our last night stay on the way home. On the Sunday morning just leaving Ohio one of the guys crashed his motorcycle , it was incredibly scary and he was banged up pretty good and was taken via ambulance to emerg back to Athens Ohio about 49 min away from crash . We followed ambulance back to emerg and our friend was in the room being treated and scanned. I went outside and I called the Monroe hotel , I first spoke to a call centre and then that lady said she connected me to the hotel . I explained how serious this was and fire and we would be hours at the emerg and possibly overnight as his bike was totalled and we didn’t know how bad injured yet . I spoke with the Monroe hotel and the lady said yes she understood the rooms will he cancelled for us as a courtesy in this situation, I saw the emails come in saying cancelled and went to be with my friend . Two days later we got home and got him a ride home which was 10 hours away. I looked at my credit card and I was charged for four hotel rooms ?? I was like you have to be joking me . I have emailed the hotel , have been dealing with the customer care live chat and they said they have contacted the hotel and yet I have heard from nobody , not an out of office email ? Not even a courtesy reply. I am a very loyal IHG member and always use holiday inn in my business and travels but I’m truly disgusted by this . Even if it’s some policy ? Does nobody even make a a call and say “ hello Mr. R*++** we see you have 4 rooms reserved tonite and are we still expecting you ? Nope nothing zero This can not be any more u professionally handled by this hotel . Going to make a nice headline “ Holiday Inn Monroe charges for 4 hotels to group of bikers who are in the emerg department 5 hours away waiting for their friend in the trauma unit” I should have read all The reviews on this hotel as now I can understand the unprofessional way this has been handled . How can you look in the mirror
