It's inconvenient to find a store around the area that does give change. So I drove 10 miles to do my laundry. You are the only hotel that doesn't provide for your guests. Also the 2 young male employees are not very helpful and friendly.
- KCKari CooperSep 27, 20261.0I booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Lapeer, MI through Hotels.com. I had my confirmation number, confirmation in the app, and a confirmation email. When I arrived they said they didn't have my reservation and were completely booked up for the night, and that was the end of their customer service. They told me I should call Hotels.com and ask why they didn't send over my reservation. It was 4:00 pm (check in time) and we needed to be to a wedding by 4:30. They didn't offer any suggestions or offer to help us figure out a resolution, they just shrugged and said it wasn't their fault. Honestly don't even think we got an apology. This issue isn't really with whose fault it was, it was the lack of concern or empathy for our situation, they just turned us away with no idea what to do next. Luckily, we saw there was a Best Western down the road and they were able to get us in. It would have been nice if the Holiday Inn staff had at least gave us suggestions for nearby hotels to call, but we didn't even get that. Just sharing as a cautionary tale for anyone considering staying here. I'll also mention that I've been using Hotels.com to book my lodging for 10 years and this has never happened to me before.
