If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would. Our stay here was an absolute disaster from start to finish, and I strongly advise anyone—especially families—to book elsewhere.
Constant Noise & Lack of Sleep: The hotel was extremely and constantly loud throughout the entire night. We barely got a single hour of uninterrupted sleep. To make matters stranger, someone in a neighboring room apparently had a live bird in their room.
Uncomfortable & Intrusive Housekeeping: Housekeeping knocked on our door early in the morning while my wife and three daughters were still getting ready in the room. All of the staff members were men, and their pushy, early morning check-ins made my family feel extremely uncomfortable and rushed in our own space. The breakfast options were also nearly empty.
Save yourself the frustration and loss of sleep. We will never stay at this location again.
I will do my best not to stay here again. The 2nd room they gave me was just as moldy as the first one I refused so I did a walk around the hotel on every floor. The fourth floor was the only one that didn't have a bunch of trash juice stains in the carpet, so we can tell there are a bunch of extended stays and house keeping doesn't keep up with their trash so they take it out themselves and the stains haven't been removed from the carpet, not good. I don't think the carpets were even vacuumed very often. The lobby and elevator areas had filthy floors. My shoes stuck to the floor in my room and bathroom, so I wiped the floor with wet rags by hand. The third pass still came away dirty. I wore my shoes in the room because I hate picking up oily greasy feet from the unmopped floor in the middle of the night and getting back into bed with dirty feet.
The first room they gave me as a diamond member was next to an exterior door that closes loudly and it smelled so strongly of mold when I walked in, I didn't even set my bags down. I have allergies, I can't stay in a room obviously contaminated with mold, with an AC unit constantly blowing fresh mold around the room, but I kept the second room because I had no hope for the other rooms and didn't want to try and get my stay cancelled, I wish I would have. I just didn't have it in me, because the host didn't say more than 2 words, and didn't seem like they would be able to help me.
I spend more than 100 nights a year in a hotel. I specifically pick these newer holiday inn express locations when I can because they're usually really nice, so yes my expectations were high because the bar is set high.
All the other staff was great and the breakfast was hot and ready like it normally is. I'm saying, if no staff was there and I just checked into a room and checked out, I would be ok with that, even without breakfast. I usually bring oatmeal with me and eat that in the room. So for me, the room is what needs to be good. I'm not there to make friends and I don't need staff to be nice to me, although that is nice, I just need a comfortable, clean room. If you can't provide that, no one should be paying to stay there.
It's gone downhill. I stayed here about a year ago and it was fine, but this time there were so many minor things that didn't function that they added up to a frustrating stay.
I stayed for around two weeks, and in that time only one day was breakfast operating fully. The first day I came down at 9 (breakfast runs to 9:30) and the only thing they had was potatoes, oatmeal, and toast. Coming down earlier didn't help much either. On most days either several of the hot food trays were empty, or being refilled at a pace that's far too slow for the number of people staying. There was always cereal available, but not necessarily milk. On some of the days the milk fridge was just completely empty. On others there was a refillable milk jug that didn't seem to get refilled very much. On other days the fridge had cartons of milk along with yoghurt and suchlike. The time I tried to use one of the milk cartons, it contained a watery liquid with congealed white lumps, and indeed the expiration date was in the past. The juice dispenser was often mislabeled. Pressing a button for juice would often give just water with a juicy tinge to it, implying that the tanks hadn't been cleaned since it was last refilled. There was always one staff wandering around the breakfast area, although I'm not really sure what she was doing, as she seemed oblivious to the lack of food.
There were two coffee machines. Neither of them had decaf beans in them our entire stay. Frequently one of them would nonfunctional giving the "requires cleaning" message. On some days both were broken, and coffee was provided in a separate tank, but there was a half hour wait for that to be refilled.
Housekeeping seemed to rely on us being out of the room at the time they first pass by. If we hadn't planned anything in the morning on a given day and they passed by us while we were on do-not-disturb, they usually didn't come back later in the day, even if we were out by 1pm. Whenever the did change our towels, they never replaced toilet paper, even when the bathroom was completely out of it. We had to go down to the front desk and request all our toilet paper.
Keycards frequently had issues. Two cards we received were dead on arrival. The functioning one demagnetised twice over the course of our stay.
One lift was not functioning. The ice machine on our floor was not functioning.
The walls are not as thin as some of the other reviews on here might imply, but more the ceilings. If the room above you brought their pet elephant, you will hear it.
Overall, it's not bad to the point of being actual unpleasant or anything, just simply frustrating, and you get to the point of expecting things to go wrong. Given we chose a hotel based on breakfast being available, we probably wouldn't pick it again.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever gone to. Their service is absolutely horrible. They up charge and the employees are dirty and have a terrible attitude. Especially the blonde girl at the front desk, and the lightskin GM. There was a bug in my bed and when we got in the room there was brown stuff on our towels and water all over the floor by the fridge. I honestly didn’t even care until they tried to take my deposit and charge me extra when I left. It has become a civil case that could be potentially brought to the court. All they had for breakfast was cereal, but not milk, hot water, and dry bread. Literally the worst breakfast I’ve ever seen. When I asked about it they said theres nothing they could do. I had just paid 300 dollars for a suit room expecting breakfast like that said was included. Their WiFi also DOES NOT WORK. Save yourself. DO NO GET THIS HOTEL.
Booked our room early and check in was at 3pm but at 4pm a very rude employee (who I can imagine is having a bad day because of all the issues they're having today with multiple guests venting their frustrations at her), told us the room wasn't ready and we had to wait, which is fine but she couldn't tell us when it would be available she said maybe 40 minutes and that she would call us when it was ready, 3 hours later with no call we went back to check in and she told us they canceled our reservation and gave our room away and could downgrade us to a smaller cheaper room for the same price as our more expensive room we booked, refusing to make any kind of offer, incentive or make it right and when we ask to speak to a manager they apparently do not have a manager because they're on vacation. Save your money and time and avoid at all cost. ~ Also the person infront of us was returning to their room from the pool and their key no longer worked, the lady told them they canceled their reservation and gave away their room even though they checked in the day before and all their stuff was in their room that they booked for 3 nights! Definitely going to corporate about this scam of a business location.
