Great service. The room was clean, but overall the hotel was a little worn down. The breakfast was just ok. I've had much better at other Staybridge hotels. The pool and outdoor area is in great condition.

I recently stayed at Staybridge Suites by IHG in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
When we first entered our two-bedroom suite, we were immediately hit with a blast of heat. The thermostat was set to 86 degrees, and hot air was pouring from the vents. We attempted to turn on the air conditioning, but it would not work at all. General Manager Nicolas Geanta responded quickly and brought two portable air conditioning units to the room. After assessing the situation, he agreed it would be best to move us.
Our second room was already a slight downgrade, as it had a queen bed instead of the king bed we had reserved. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. The moment we walked into the room, we were met with a strong, foul odor that smelled as though something was decaying. We searched the room but couldn’t identify the source. Hoping it would improve, we turned on the air conditioning and left for dinner. When we returned, the smell was just as bad as before.
As a result, we had to move rooms for a second time. Once again, we were placed in a two-bedroom suite with a queen bed instead of the king room we originally booked.
I want to be very clear that Nicolas Geanta and Heidi at the front desk were outstanding throughout this entire experience. They were professional, responsive, courteous, and did everything they could to help us. The issues were not caused by them. In fact, their customer service was the only bright spot during our stay.
That said, guests should not have to deal with multiple room changes, broken HVAC systems, overpowering odors, or downgraded accommodations. These are basic quality and maintenance issues that should be addressed long before guests arrive. While the staff did their best to make things right, the overall condition of the hotel fell far below expectations.
The staff deserves 5 stars, but the hotel itself does not.

Hi my name is Papi and I'm a Siberian Husky. I just spent around 3 weeks at this hotel with my Mom and Dad while our house was being fixed, we had a king suite. It was the best time I've ever had. Everyone was so nice to me they greeted me every time I came in and sometimes they petted me and said what a good boy I am. Lots of them commented on how handsome I am too, (which is true). I'm posting some photos of my activities which included; napping, power napping, watching TV and snacking... This is a very dog friendly hotel and I really enjoyed my stay I hope I get to go back soon and see all of my friends! Thank you Staybridge Suites Airport!
Hugs and Fluff, 💖 Papi
The hotel and rooms feel dated, and the elevator is very old. Overall, it doesn't have the feel of a three-star property. The washing machine seemed to lack cold water, so my clothes came out extremely hot after the wash cycle.
When I stayed during the winter, both the pool and hot tub were closed, which was disappointing. On the positive side, I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and evening meal offerings.
There is another Staybridge Suites in town that is very new and nicer than this one. Their washing machines are also very new. They didn't pay me to write this review.

Had a terrible time checking in. I used booking.com. it was terrible. They kept denying my credit card and debit card. Luckily the general manager was there and he spent about 45 minutes trying to fix the problem and then was able to create a work around to the problem and get me checked in. The room is comfortable. Could use a little update but the beds are comfy, the rooms clean, the lobby is nice, the pool is great but there's really no reason to close an outdoor pool at 10. They should keep it open til 11pm. My daughter's really wanted to use the pool after being at a volleyball tournament all day long. We got back at 950pm and they refused to extend the hours even for a half hour. The sign on the desk says to let them know if you have an issue or if they can help satisfy you in anyway. Especially as an ihg member, extending the pool hour one time for a half hour would have been an easy fix that would have made me such a satisfied customer. Man, i would have told everybody!! It wouldn't have disturbed anyone. I think for 425 bucks a night they could have accommodated this. Other then that minor issue it was goof nights sleep.
