- KMKathy MMay 12, 20263.0While clean and quiet, the room didn’t have a coffee maker. The clock wasn’t able to be adjusted so the time was incorrect which doesn’t help at night. The microwave didn’t have the glass plate to set food on. The shower was Extremely slippery! Needs the little ducks. The clerk was friendly but interrupted a smoke break for us. IHG reservation center wanted $180 initially! We got it for a lot less but that was shocking when gas if almost $5.00 a gallon

After trying to prove my booking i was given what i actually booked. The tub in the room didnt work had to call for a repair. Maintenence tried to repair it but could not so I was given another room. This room had a non working phone and the tv had a red tint. The service at this location was very slow to respond to your needs and lots of non functioning things at the hotel. I often choose Holiday inn express when i travel. This was the worst experience i have had with them. I would never book this one again it is poorly ran and under staffed. With so many problems that the staff seemed to be unaware of all of the issues.

Since we are from down state in Detroit, relocating her far south was not in her best interest. Being that she was away from her home for an extended period of time, she had a difficult time coping with the flooding. Polo at the front desk made sure she felt safe, looked after, and overall attended to her needs with the best professionalism I have ever experienced from a hotel front desk. He truly treated her and her experience as if she was his own mother. Thank you again Polo for your wonderful hospitality and care for my grandmother. The room was spotless and the accessibility was just what she needed. The room staff did an excellent job turning over the room, replenishing her towels for clean ones, and always checked in regularly to see if she needed anything. The staff truly made our difficult time into one to we can remember fondly. Thank you Holiday Inn Gaylord team for making my grandmothers stay a wonderful experience!
