  We had a fantastic stay! Anthony at the front desk was incredibly friendly and made check-in a breeze. Plus, you can't beat the location: it's a short walk to Ford Field and sits right next to a stunning community garden.

  Extremely disappointed with our experience at Hotel Indigo Detroit Downtown. My family specifically reserved and confirmed an ADA-accessible room for my grandmother who is wheelchair dependent, only to arrive and be told there were no ADA rooms available. The only room offered was a non-accessible room with a sofa bed and inaccessible bathroom accommodations. What made this even worse was the complete lack of urgency or compassion from the front desk staff. Watching hotel employees look at a disabled woman in a wheelchair and simply state “that’s the only room we have” without offering any real solution was incredibly disheartening. The property also lacked accessible handicap parking, which made the situation even more difficult and unsafe. Accessible accommodations are not optional conveniences — they are necessities for the safety and dignity of disabled guests. This experience showed a serious lack of ADA preparedness and guest care.

  This hotel was only just tolerable. Definitely not worth the price point. Rooms are on the smaller side and pretty dated. Customer service is pretty much nonexistent here, so good luck if you have any issues. Not a fan of only having valet parking as an option because I like to be in my car and on the go immediately, instead of waiting 15-30 minutes for a valet driver to get my car and then expecting to be tipped for taking their sweet time retrieving my vehicle. The valet is also ridiculously expensive for a non-premium hotel brand, seems they’re trying to act like an Intercontinental or Kimpton when they’re so far below that level. Would not stay here again.

  Stayed here on the 17th for the night, seemed like a decent place to stay up until the big COCK ROACH appeared, ended up killing it with a shoe picked it up with some tissues and handed it in to the front desk, I was asked if I wanted to switch rooms like it was normal to find cock roaches in your room or something, but since I was checking out within the hour I declined and because I booked through a third party there was nothing he could do.. I emailed the property directly twice and yet have received a response so either its acceptable for cock roaches to be there or simply they just dont care. Either way if a guest emails you at least follow up, just shows you dont care. I will post the pictures if it allows me.

  Great location, I booked 2 of the same room type and one was bigger than the other. However, the rooms were very nice. Overnight front desk dawn was EXTREMELY rude. I left my key in my room before i had left for the evening, so I was locked out. Instead of asking are you a guest here? She very rudely states we don’t have a public bathroom & she said she would only give me a key to ONE of my rooms. Luckily I had keys to both rooms inside of the room she gave me the key to. She was just very unprofessional and did not uphold the IHG brand standard.
