  The beds in this hotel are probably older than the building itself. Both queen mattresses had significant dips in them. I woke up numerous times during the night, and now my back hurts. I've placed some towels in the dip, so hope the second night won't be as bad. Unacceptable.

  This is a very disappointing hotel. Just within the first few hours of checking in, I found many issues about not only my room, but the hotel itself. The lobby is barely clean, there was a trail of what I believe is dirt or liquid that looked stuck to the floor. With the room itself, I immediately found a giant roach next to of the two beds. Furthermore, the bathroom light is practically a nightlight. There is no overhead lighting above the the bathtub so it feels like i'm showering in the dark. I also tried using the room's safe, but unfortunately it was already left locked with no reset code to put in. Assuming that the reset code would have been "0000", I was very wrong since right after there was a constant beeping sound from These were issues that I have brought up personally to the front desk, and they were not carefully and throughly addressed. They did not offer a room upgrade, and even though they said that they would bring housekeeping to remove the roach, they never arrived. As I stated before, this had all happened within only a first few hours of checking in, which has prompted me to write this reivew today. I suppose this is the perfect example of "getting what I paid for"; a few nights at a less than mediocre hotel.

  Boîtier cher. 40 $ jour. !!! Ventilateur air conditionné très (trop) bruyant. Impossible de dormir avec. Isolation des fenêtres faible , bruit de la rue très fort même au 5e étage. Hôtel très bien situé.

  The room size is excellent. The beds are definitely Doubles and not Queens. There is a small kitchenette, big sitting area, plenty of storage and a huge bathroom. Unfortunately, there is a huge old air conditioner built into the window that pumps out really musty air. I'm sensitive to mold and mildew, and started to get stuffy after being in the room for about an hour while we got ready to go to Comerica. The next morning, I woke up with puffy eyes and was completely stuffy/congested. This all resolved within a few hours after checking out. The others I was with do not have the same sensitivity and were fine. The road noise is very clear but thankfully not constant thru the night. At 930 a.m. the day of check out, a female housekeeper knocked on our door to ask what time our check out was. I said "I think check out is at 11?". She said "I don't know what time you're check out is, it's not on my sheet". I'm not sure what that meant, but told her we planned to leave by the standard check out time. The front desk staff were all very friendly. This is perfect walking distance to Comerica, and not in a bad area. I understand why they have the front doors as key card access only, but if you're arriving to check in and the valet person left with your vehicle,you have to stand in the small entryway and wait for someone to come let you in. A buzzer/speaker to tell the front desk you are there to check in, and a button allowing them to briefly unlock the door from their desk, would be more customer friendly.

  Overall, this is a nice hotel. Im surprised its only 3.9 stars overall. Our room was nice. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the shower. There was some mold, water damage, and some loose hair in the shower pan that was not from us since we hadn't even used it yet. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, the AC worked good, and the TV was good. I think some reviewers act like this is an $800 a night hotel. Stay at the Westin across the street if you want that price and type of accommodation. The Indigo is in a great spot that allows you to walk easily to most of downtown. If you want a comfortable hotel at a reasonable price with friendly helpful staff, then I'd recommend this place. We would stay here again if we come to town.
