    Hotel looks like it needs more renovation. Elevator was dirty. Breakfast was out of waffles and cinnamon rolls at 8:30 am with no more available for the day.

    This is the WORST Holiday Inn I have ever been to. The main lobby looks nice, however the rooms are awful. Bedding had stains, room smelled like it was heavily smoked it, the bathroom floor is filthy! I took the do not disturb sign off my door as I saw room service was starting to clean on my floor. They literally skipped my room. The pool is gross, only a urinal working in the pool area, ceiling tiles rotted and falling out and the hot tub is not working and has wood boarding over it.. I had to go to Meijer to buy my own cleaning supplies and sheets how filthy this place is.

    Trash in the halls, same trash during our stay. 1 ice machine that worked. Only 1 elevator, crew workers tied it up. Quests waiting on every floor. Simply a disgrace to 'holiday inn' Don't stay here

    Checked into our room late. Heater/AC was on but the room was damp all night. Woke up turned on the tv was on for about 30 minutes and shut off. Turned back on would not stay on. Phones did not work. Woke up in the AM and the blow dryer burned up with flames shooting out of it. Staff was nice and the room was cleaned and did not smell

    I was a student when this place opened decades ago, and I return to the area often for board meetings as well as alumni and family events. Since at least 2023 they’ve had signs posted saying the property was under renovation, but since 2023 wallpaper missing in hallways hasn’t been replaced, the parking lot looks like the Air Force uses it for bombing practice, and the attached (long extinct) restaurant’s awning and lights literally blow in the wind, banging against the outside wall. Apparently the property is under new ownership, and while the promises of renovation have, in the past, been empty I am assured that this time the renovations are happening. I hope so, because it is a great location with excellent staff, and many people believe it is affiliated with Ferris State University... where I am proud to be (still) actively involved 35 years after graduating. Special shout out to Brooke, the General Manager, for taking the time to contact me personally, and for educating me on the current situation with regard to renovations.
