  I went in the area to celebrate my milestone birthday. Initially, I was very upset because the gentleman at the front desk put us in a room that was already used. This was on my actual birthday. He knew it was my birthday and I didn’t expect anything special, but then the room that he put us in was very dark and had one small window. He claimed that all the king bedrooms were like that, but that was not true upon talking to somebody else. So the next day I nicely spoke to a lovely woman named Sue. I’m not sure if she was the manager or not, but she really made a difference so much so that I got misty eyed. I was inquiring about another room and she put me in another bigger room. It was beautiful and there was light, and I truly appreciate it immensely! Not too many people in the world make a big difference like that and she should be recognized! She made a difference. Then, the breakfast was amazing! It’s very rare you go to a hotel with decent eggs and good coffee, but everything was good! I want to send a special kudos to the gentleman named Leonard that was working nonstop and made sure everyone had their food. I’ve never seen someone work so hard at breakfast before, and he should truly be recognized! my husband and I tipped him and he also helped my husband with something else too. Great attitude! There should be more Leonards and Sues in this world! Between Sue and Leonard, they are truly Rockstars! Because of this, I am spreading the word, and I will definitely go to this hotel every time I come back to Michigan, which is usually a few times a year. They really made a difference and you could tell that this hotel is well managed. It’s also very clean and comfortable! We will be back!

  This is another location contributing to downspiral of BestWestern Hotels. Looks like the QUALITY ASSURANCE AUDITORS of Best Western are compromising on the quality for personal benefits. Rooms SMELL BAD, Carpets dirty, Bedsheets don't smell clean, Check out all the dirt accumulated behind the TV Cabinet. Bathrooms have all the cracks that you can see if picturs could be posted. TV Romote is missing and the front desk responds by saying "it should be there". Front desk employee discloses during check in regarding BW policy for penality if you smoke cigarette in the room and it sounds good, I don't smoke, but the smell you feel as soon as you enter the room is DISGUSTING and does not go away during your whole stay and if you note this smell is not in the Lobby or entarnce of the hotel. If you felt the same experience DO NOT BOOK BEST WESTERN ANY MORE.

  The rooms are okay for how old the hotel is. The staff on the other hand is horrible. The lady that was working the front desk felt no need to put her phone down to check us in. Her movie on her phone was more important than taking care of the guest coming in.

  Older rooms, but clean and well kept. Bed is comfortable. Facilities are beautiful. Room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke when we arrived. I notified the desk clerk immediately to make sure that we would not be charged for cleaning.

  Nice hotel. Great pool, which is honestly why I booked as my kids are water babies. Indoor/outdoor pool with a little corridor between the two. Hot tub. Good breakfast with the typical hotel fare (eggs, meats, waffles, precooked pastries). Rooms were clean and nice, but could use updating. TV had Netflix, which is nice. Staff was very friendly. Common areas clean and secure. Will be back.
