Location is strength of this hotel. Pool was unclean ... room was plain and in need of paint in bathroom (rust spots frame of door). Staff did not seem approachable (apart from one housekeeping staff member). Breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts offered by a chain (this location did a great job). Coffee in lobby was outstanding. Price is acceptable for area, but still expensive -- especially since it could use a face-lift. Elevators are the best coordinated i have ever seen in a hotel .. longest wait was a few seconds. Water pressure in shower was very poor ... ridiculously so.

We got relocated to this hotel when the Marriott claimed they over booked and had no rooms for us. Staff here was friendly and accommodating, the room was very nice, the place was very clean, and their breakfast buffet was good. I did have to check with the front desk five separate times because my key card wouldn't work.

HIx is my favorite hotel, but this wasn't the usual experience. The room was not cleaned, there were bits of potato chips all over the floor, and the counters didn't look clean. The staff were generally friendly and nice but some seemed to think customers didn't come first. Hoping just this location and not a downward turn for the brand.
