I had book a room for my daughter and grandchildren. During their visit to Maine from Florida. I received a call this morning, a week later. Telling me they won't rent a room to anyone that lives within 30 miles of their hotel. I explained that I rented for my daughter and grandchildren, she said you can't stay. I said I wouldn't I have my home. But I might visit with them. She said that won't do their are many other hotels in town. Your reservation is cancelled
Convenient location right off the interstate, clean rooms and friendly staff.
Our family of 4 enjoyed our 1 night here in July of 2026. Our check in was delayed slightly as the hotel was sold out the previous night and our room was not yet ready as of 3:00pm, but the staff was friendly and apologetic and that gave us a chance to explore a little bit of the surrounding area.
The indoor pool was nice and has one of those lifts for people who need it. The area seemed to be very quiet and the AC blew cold all night!
There were plenty of stores and restaurants within a few minutes drive of this hotel and it's just about 25 minutes North of Augusta.
All in all, a good spot and easy to recommend to others.

This hotel has an unusual setup, the lobby and breakfast area are on the second floor. There is a first floor entrance, and its a bit of a maze, but easy enough to navigate after the first time. There are no Diamond Elite parking spots. The room was modern and clean. The shower didn't drain properly, so after being on for a minute, you were standing in a few inches of water.
The breakfast was very good and varied. Some items like French Toast which I haven't seen at other Holiday Inns.
Giving 3 stars because the hotel was quite expensive compared to other Holiday Inns, could be demand/supply in the area. Also giving 3 stars because when checking in they demanded the exact license plate number rather than the usual state / make / model / color. The vehicle was from out of state, and not a common vehicle, so its not like there would be multiple illegally parked cars that matched it there. They insisted even though it was pouring rain, and I had to park at the far end of the lot because the area in front of the entrance was triple parked with no room. Not exactly the best way to treat a Diamond Elite customer for something that wasn't really that necessary.

I had the best stay here. For one it’s an IHG property which usually means the beds are comfortable. I met Megan at check in and she had us all straight for an early morning check in from the night before. I later met Jasmine who’s learning a lot from Megan :) While outside smoking I met some contractors and the general manager who were all super nice. I can’t speak for breakfast or anything else but the staff I met were fantastic. Thank you all .
Later on I met head of housekeeping ( Colby) and a housekeeper whose name I can’t remember but they were super nice too. Based on staff hospitality alone I recommend this holiday inn express.

I have been a diamond elite member for 10+ years and this property is totally unprofessional, after leaving for the day I came back to a room they claim to have “cleaned” when clearly someone had been laying in it (that it not how I left it) when I brought it to the attention of management they refused to hear any of my thoughts telling me straight to my face that I’m a liar when I wasnt even looking for a discount or anything just bringing it to there attention. They proceeded to follow me and my elderly father out side and screamed at us. Will never be returning and would recommend steering clear of this property.
