  Fire alarm went off at 1:30am. Everyone went outside. Fire department arrived. Stood outside for 40 minutes while firefighters investigated. Zero acknowledgement from the hotel. "Oh did an alarm go off?" I think the quality of service is akin to their many responses to reviews here: "Template"

  We had a decent stay at Candlewood Suites in Scarborough. Booked last minute only few days before arrival, we were fortunate to find exactly what we needed for our family of 4, at a reasonable price: 2 bedrooms suite with a full kitchen. It served our needs extremely well! Place was clean, functional, and gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and provided us with extra blankets and sheets upon request, as our teenager chose to sleep on the sofa in the living room. We were pleased to be able to make breakfast (considering our kids have dietary restrictions that restaurants often unable to fulfill) on the stove top that worked great! Only suggestion would be to fix window screens (we wanted to open windows for fresh air but were concerned bugs will get in), and add hooks / towel racks in the bathroom. Location was convenient near Hannaford and Cosco.

  Room smelled like a wet dog! Horrible odor. Dogs running in hallway. Not sure if this is a hotel for people or dogs ABSOLUTELY won't be staying here again.

  If I could give 0 stars I would ...dirty, wobbly furniture, and a unscheduled fire alarm test in the morning. I wouldnt waste your money honestly. And management is extremely rude.

  Started off great .... furniture is a little wobbly but I didnt expect anything else from where we are at, but the surprise fire alarm inspection in the mid morning with no warning while a man tried to just welcome his self into my hotel room while i was in a state of undress to check if the alarm was working. There was no warning at all and with that alarm blazing noone could hear a knock at the door and when I call the front desk to inquire i get hung up on twice and them telling me there was a note put under my door which there was not and even so doesnt that seem like a phone call or email thing? Either way both the individuals I spoke too hung up on me and gave me no apology or anything. So dont come here if you dont want grown men barging in your hotel room. I wont be returning. And a investigation should be done. And again for there reply....THERE WAS NO NOTE UNDER ANY DOOR also everyone I talked to was rude and hung up on me thats why my attitude was elevated and trust me when I say this if you have young girls with you or if you are someone that doesn't want to be intruded on while dressing in a room you paid for while an alarm is going off that they didnt warn anyone about Do not come here!
