  The hotel is overpriced. Rooms have thin walls, extremely small rooms, needs new carpets, wood trim rotting, paint chipping. Hotel is in horrible condition. Do not stay here.

  With high hopes we booked this place but we’re totally let down by the wharf houses accommodations. Main issues: -Everything smelled in the hallways -Rooms were cheaply designed and constructed -everything felt very old -the paper thin walls yielded us being up from 12-2am one night with our neighbor smashing a window, hearing every door shut, slamming their toilet seat and puking. -service was mostly a miss -restaurant was good This is not a 600$ a night experience, maybe $200.

  Review for the restaurant only; I have not stayed here as a guest. I've been coming to the restaurant for the past few summers and it's gotten better every year. When I think of the perfect martini, the one I got from the Boat House is what will come to mind for the foreseeable future. The apps we had were amazing as well. The view was gorgeous and the service was fast, friendly, and charismatic.

  My husband and I are world travelers and this experience was not something that we would ever repeat. Before checking in I received multiple texts from different unidentified numbers asking me to click on a link to make the check in process 'easier'. The link provided also wanted me to save my credit card information which I never do for obvious reasons. When I did check in, there was absolutely nothing else that was needed so the multiple texts were simply an annoyance and not necessary. When we drove to our room we had to drive through a throng of people who were all shopping AND we had to move a cone ourselves to access a parking space. To access the room you had to climb several steep and narrow stairs with your luggage (no elevator), there were no luggage racks (!!!), the room was tiny and the bed was uncomfortable. To top it off, the complimentary breakfast was cold cereal and some muffins. No fruit, no yogurt, etc. Several other guests just walked out when they saw what was offered as did we. For $640 a night, we did not get what we paid for. We are prepared to pay top dollar for great experiences but this hotel failed from beginning to end.
