  I am a 69 year old totally disabled man who can not walk at all and use a mobility scooter full time. I booked an ada room to travel from tucson for my son's graduation from medical school. When we arrived we were told there were no ada rooms available. They told me they would put a shower seat in a room with a shower and let me see it. I looked at the room and it was totally unacceptable. They told me that was my only option. I had been traveling since 5:30 am and it was late at night and my wife and I were exhausted so I tried the room for the night. I could not use the bathroom without making a mess of myself and the bathroom. I almost fell several times attempting to use the bathroom because there were no grab bars. I felt very unsafe in the room which had no room for me to drive up to the bed to get in. I didn't get any sleep that night. I used the lobby bathroom from then on. The next day the staff they were working on helping me. When I checked on the progress they would give me a different story each time, I was getting very frustrated and angry. They finally told me that they could not help me because I booked through booking.com. I was starting to raise my voice and told them that they were breaking the law by not giving me an ada room i booked or find me other accommodations. At that point the general manager came out and told me to calm down. Within 2 minutes he told me I was evicted and have 10 minutes to vacate the property.

  I gave two stars because the room and the bed were very comfortable. The staff was very polite and helpful. And the breakfast food was good. However, the key card kept failing. Had to get a new key card every day. Construction going on the second floor. Workers were using the only two elevators and scratched up the interior walls of the elevators and getting paint/drywall mud on those walls as well. Parking, a few parking spots in the hotel lot that cost $20.00 per night otherwise you have to park in a public lot behind the hotel.

  After a 4-hour domestic flight and a 10-hour long flight, I thought the journey from Washington Airport to the hotel would be far from the city center, but the following days weren't that difficult or long. Maybe it was just fatigue? The hotel is a bit small but fully meets needs. The reception staff are helpful and attentive. The room was normal for a hotel concept, but it felt a little small to us, though that wasn't a problem. The cleanliness was good, the bathroom was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the linens were clean. There are security guards in the evenings, so it's safer. Although the breakfast area is a bit cramped, the variety of food is good and constantly replenished (Turks shouldn't complain about the lack of products like cheese/olives, after all, this is America! Those who want these can buy them from the market). The hotel has a good professional coffee machine that makes instant coffee, you can get coffee 24/7; I really appreciated this service, which isn't found everywhere, and that's why I found the hotel worthwhile. Silver Spring is a nice and clean place. The city center is a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, and there are food, drinks, and clothing stores (Nike, TJ Maxx, Marshall, Whole Foods, etc.) available. Alternatively, you can walk to the center in 10 minutes, then take a 20-minute subway ride ($4.30 one way, contactless credit card payments work seamlessly, no need to deal with tickets). The return journey is also hassle-free. The city is very well organized; visit all the monuments and museums (free). They are all incredibly large and rich. Visit two museums in one day; you'll get tired but you won't forget. We stayed for 4 days, but it was enough. One day, get off at Union Market and walk towards the city; the neighborhoods will take you to a completely different place. I was very pleased with the hotel (thanks to everyone) and the city; we were very happy to have gone, seen, and experienced it. If your next stop is Philadelphia and New York, buy your Amtrak ticket in advance. _______________________________________ Thank you for the hotel's kind and complimentary response.

  I am very impressed! From lobby to hallway to room everything is kept cleaner than a lot of hotels (with more stars ) I’ve visited. My expectations were low for the complimentary breakfast but was blown away by not just the food but the staff. This hotel is ran better than some 4 stars establishments!
