A terrible hotel; they treat you poorly, as if they were doing you a favor. They charge an extra deposit—on top of the room payment—that is supposed to be refunded within 7 to 10 days; it’s been a month with no sign of it, and the hotel washes its hands of the matter. You're better off going to the Hilton across the street.
This hotel is in the best location w the best accommodation options such as gym, restaurant, spacious, and outside walkable area. It's nestled in a shopping center.
Sadly, the rooms are severely out of date.
Poor painting, water control and fixture issues in the bathroom. Rusty. Shower goes wild w the water outside of the tub. Weird!
Water dripping from the vent, over the toilet.
Light odor within bedding.
Very uncomfortable pillows.
Bedding felt wet, unsure if it was.
This was my 1st "Even" stay.
Unsure if I'd stay again.
Hotels are a dime a dozen in this area, and I have a dollar!!
Great location, but unfortunately the hotel itself is a long way from being great.
There were definitely some positives. The bed was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was spacious, and the hydration station in the lobby with chilled water was a nice touch. I also liked the idea of having yoga equipment available in the room.
However, the overall cleanliness and maintenance really need attention. The yoga equipment in my room was visibly dirty, to the point where I would rather it not be provided at all if it isn't going to be cleaned between guests. The ironing board was also stained and looked like it had previously been used as a table. In the lobby, several chairs had dog hair on them and looked like they hadn't been vacuumed or cleaned recently. The hallways were also quite dark and could use better lighting and some additional decor.
The TV experience was probably the most frustrating part of the stay. The TV itself is very small, and on my first day it had no signal at all. Maintenance came and reset it, which restored the channels, but every DirecTV channel continued to buffer or cut out roughly every 20 seconds. Trying to watch anything was like listening to music from a badly scratched CD—you catch every other word. At this point, most hotels offer reliable television service or the ability to cast or stream from your own device, so this felt very outdated.
The room does have a refrigerator, but surprisingly no microwave.
Another concern was the bathroom faucet. While the bathroom itself looked nice, the open front-facing faucet had visible gunk and buildup around the water outlet. Regardless of whether it affects the actual water quality, it certainly doesn't give guests confidence in the level of cleanliness.
There is potential here because the location is excellent, the beds are comfortable, and some of the amenities are thoughtful. But better housekeeping, maintenance, lighting, and updated in-room entertainment would make a significant difference. Right now, the location is doing most of the heavy lifting.

Me and my family came to Even Hotel from Cambria due to a water maintenance problem, and that is completely understandable. Upon checking in from the relocation (entirely free), the manager decided to charge us $300 and tell us ‘it would be refunded.’ We thought it would be okay, and after checking out (today), we still hadn’t received any kind of compensation (refund, credits, etc.) and called up the manager. We received horrible service, awful resolutions & the manager decided to hang up on us and racially profiling us whilst making fun of their own staff for not being able to speak English. This is derogatory, awfully disrespectful and a terrible experience. You should never come here if you want to have your money safe and sound with no problems alongside it.
This hotel provides great value for the price paid.
Positives:
- Comfy bed.
- Hot showers,
- Clean rooms.
- Big exercise room
- Large indoor and outdoor social spaces if needed
- So many restaurants and stores, including supermarkets and clothing, stores, and a great bakery, just steps from the hotel
- mini fridge in each room, shared microwave in the lobby
Negatives.
- The hotel is aging. Our window blind would not go up again after we pulled it down.
- Only the main door entrance works even though the side entrances do have key card readers on them.
- Smart TV was spotty reception, kept buffering
Notes
- the red line Metro has a bus bridge from where this hotel is in towards Washington. Make sure it’s running back to normal before you choose this hotel based solely on its metro location. When the metro is running, it’s great to be able to take the metro wherever you need to go.
- parking is $20 per night
