Front concierge lady was extremely rude, she was not warm, inviting, and definitely not friendly. If you have any room issues please go to a different staff member. She even threatened me and my spouse with charging a late fee. Due to another staff member promising we can check in the next morning of our booking. Front desk work/reception is customer service first and foremost and she failed miserably. Want to know who she is if you need to avoid her? Look for lack of edges, wide tooth gap, and awful side burns.

l enjoy this hotel and have stayed here every time I've gone to my conferences in DC.very convenient to Greenbelt station. I extended this stay into a mini vacation of 4 nights. It was very good and clean-l did have a problem the last night of my stay where housekeeping threw out everything in my room that was in the bathroom such as medicine toothbrushes etc. I believe it was a mixup on when I was checking out by housekeeping-so l am docking a star for that because it certainly should never have happened -but the front desk was very understanding and reached out to housekeeping so that never happens again. Property manager the next morning also spoke to me about it-so I am happy with their response to what happened. Breakfast buffet is basic but very good-weird how they treat the juices though you get literally yelled at if you try to pour your own-but there’s only one worker for a full restaurant.-when everything else is self served why can’t the juices be!. There is free coffee in the lobby. One other flaw is the elevators are tirelessly slow. If you have a large group waiting for elevators you're gonna wait a little bit to get to your room. parking is free usually very easy to find a spot-however the last night it was harder with them having an event in the ballroom Overall I highly recommend the crowne Plaza and will stay there again next time I go to DC. i

May 1st at 12:36 am called reservation IHG to make a reservation for one night. The guy who answered the phone took “all my information “over the phone and took my $100 deposit. The room was $138ish plus $100 deposit =$238 ish for “one night”. The guy mentioned that check out was the following day. I asked the guy if check out was Saturday because it was Friday already when we spoke, they guy confirmed and told me he was going to email me everything to my email that I provided three times. I woke up at 7am same day I made the reservation to go to work and while I was driving to work I realized no email was sent to me. I called the same number I made the reservation, I spoke with one lady, I explained everything about the reservation, she told me my name and last name and email was wrong and for that reason I didn’t receive any email, when I finally received it, it says that I have to check at 11am same day I reserved it.. it was 10am when I called and I was really far from the hotel and that was not what the reservation person told me when I asked him if check out was Saturday. I spoke over 4 different individuals including a “manager “ who told me she was going to create a case and escalated and that she was going to call me back. 4:30pm I haven’t heard from none of them about this matter. Then I called them again they transferred me to front desk and they told me that my room was checked out and they didn’t know where my belongings were and no one had the courtesy to call me or reach out . If a few words, they charged me $138 plus $100 deposit from 1am to 11am, when that was not what the reservation person told me over the phone. This was my first and last experience at this hotel . Very very very horrible way to informed customers about reservations. I was tired, exhausted from the long day and I needed a room to rest and this hotel served me this way. This is unreal.

One star- mostly for the comedy of the cream cheese rationing Honestly, I’m still not sure whether to laugh or be baffled by my breakfast experience here. For $19.99, the buffet is pretty bare-bones: just your basic scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, sausage, and some fruit. It's fine if you just want something quick, but the real entertainment was the service. Things got weird when we wanted toast. Apparently, the butter and cream cheese are kept under lock and key. When the staff member brought over the butter—retrieved as if it were a highly classified document from a secure vault—I asked for some cream cheese for the two of us. You could practically feel the hostility. She came back with exactly *one* packet. When I asked for one more, the look she gave me made it feel like I was asking for her actual kidney. She brought it, but the heavy sigh was loud enough to hear across the room. Even the juice is under lockdown and only dispensed at her discretion. The funniest part was at the end of the meal. I had the absolute audacity to want a second piece of toast, so I asked for one last cream cheese packet (which would have brought our total to two packets for the two of us). She flatly told me, "No more." As if we'd somehow blown through the table's cream cheese quota for the day. If you are looking for a relaxing, all-you-can-eat breakfast, I'd skip this one. But if you want a $20 masterclass in dairy rationing, it’s certainly an unforgettable experience.

I did not like anything about my stay. From the moment I arrived the first contact at the customer service desk was negative. Not friendly not outgoing. Pretty much at like she did not want to be at work! My room was muggy and damp feeling. You could see the air filters were full of dirt and very obvious that they are not changed on a regular basis. Clearly explained why their air quality in the room was terrible and felt so muggy and damp. Housekeeping entered my room changed and made up only one bed (I had a room with double beds) and left all the trash in the room. That was disgusting. The ceiling lighting fixtures in the hall right outside the elevators had sooooo many dead bugs in them. You look up at the fixture and all you could see is tons of dead and what look like flies! So it’s very obvious that there are bugs flying around this hotel. Has to be, my room was on the 7th floor. I can only imagine what was in the lighting fixtures in the lower floors. Upon check out, just like check in, customer service was AWFUL!!!!! I walked over GREETED the rep, told her I was checking out and she looked at me and said you are good. No response to the greeting, no how was your stay or even thank you for staying. NOTHING AT ALL! So my overall rating is….NEVER AGAIN! This hotel is nasty, dusty, dirty and has poor customer service!
