I am so pleased to leave this great review for pre-service and look forward to my stay. Want to stress that I was very nervous to book here after seeing negative reviews. I also had some hesitancy in booking online because of scammers. I went ahead and called the hotel directly by holding on the line and not selecting 1-3 options. The manager "Emme" (may be misspelled) has already pre-accommodated me via phone at a very inconvenient time for two queens at a better than advertised and marketed price I could find online. She also asked if I had discount options through AAA or senior citizen. The level of service so far makes me not hesitate that I made the right decision to stay here for a one night getaway!

The hotel was good. The location was good. The service was good. The breakfast was great in the morning. The pool was great and so was the hot tub. The only problem I had I left behind several dresses expensive dresses and when I called so I could get those dresses back, they couldn’t find them. I explained the dresses plus a new pair of pants a new blue flannel shirt I spoke with Tracy in the front office. She said they had not been turned in. I was in room 300. My stay was April 6 through the 11th . I left a $20 tip. You would think with that that individual would’ve returned my clothing and not taking them. I called the manager and left a message and haven’t returned from them yet. Disappointed and sad with losing my clothing

As a regular customer of the Hyatt across the road, that visits the area regularly, I’ve often wondered about the neighboring hotels. Recently we tried the Hilton and were impressed, so reluctantly after seeing some reviews, we tried the Best Western. Big mistake. The empty parking lot should have been a strong enough warning, but the offensive odor in the lobby was the first real sign of trouble. Arriving before check in time can sometimes be a problem but we always try anyhow. Based on the literally empty parking lot, we were expecting to be welcomed. Wrong. The lady behind the counter was on a personal call when we walked in, bad vibes on top of the stench. Finally she asked what we needed and we told her we were hoping to check in. She said nothing is ready until 2pm, it was 1:30pm. She said come back at two, we thanked her and went to leave, as we were leaving she said if you come back at 2 it’s a $25 fee to check in early, but if you wait til 3, there will be no fee. We said sure, we’ll go for a walk and come back at 3. 3pm comes around and we show up maybe 3:05pm. She is not on the phone this time, offensive odor still heavily present, 👋 Hi can we check in? Her, “Let’s give it until 3:15 so we can get past that, you know.” Me, sure, yeah no problem, as we leave the building never to return again. So as I paid $120 for a room in this Bates Motel, never to see it, I go across the street to the Hyatt with its fresh airy views and scents, welcoming staff, and for $14 more, I am now sitting in my comfortable Hyatt room with view of the dumpster fire across the street. All along my wife and I had a bet that this lazy woman was getting off at 3, and wanted to pass us on to the relief staff, this is got to be true because the only vehicle in the parking lot which must have been hers parked a foot from the front door is now gone. I’m guessing the relief staff would have been more friendly even if they were running late to their shift. Unfortunately it cost me $120 to never know. But if this whole island was occupied, I’ll never return to that stanky nasty Best Western. ✌️ 🎤 🫳💧
