- MPMichael PerryAug 11, 20262.0This Inn is historic and interesting. It avoided being burned by the British in the War of 1812 due to the efforts of its owner Kitty Knight. This Inn is small and quirky. This not a “White Lotus” type of establishment. If you are into camping, this is one cut above that. (also AC in our rooms was inadequate - one small window unit to cool two rooms) . The four portable fans were a nice idea, but not a lot of help. “Charming” place, but not a great inn/hotel experience.

The Inn was very quiet at night, and the air conditioning provided an excellent night of rest. I plan to stay at the Inn after each long day on the water

The location was perfect , close to vineyards and shopping in both Chestertown and Chesapeake City. Biggest shout out was to the staff member serving us on a first day. She was very friendly and provided us with several recommendations for the area to make our stay even more enjoyable. We had such a great experience with her we had both my husband's birthday and and a delicious brunch on Sunday before returning to Annapolis. Highly recommend !!

When I first booked it, I thought it would be creepy but the bed was super comfy, our room at the top with the balcony was very quiet and it over looks a lovely little harbor. The best part though...the FOOD! My friend got the short ribs & I got the crab cake sandwich and they were both incredible! Huge shout out to our server, Samantha! She was on point and super friendly. Everyone we interacted with was awesome.
