  We are longtime IHG members and have usually had excellent experiences, but this property was completely unacceptable. We reserved two rooms (1 king and 1 with double beds) three days in advance for five adults. When we arrived, we were told the room with double beds was unavailable and that only king rooms remained. Because we arrived so late at night, there was no recourse at any other hotels in the area, so three adults had to sleep in one king-size bed. A confirmed reservation should mean something. The property was also chaotic, with visibly intoxicated people causing disturbances, no apparent intervention from staff, and an overwhelming smell of marijuana throughout the hotel. Easily one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had.

  The room was clean and well done. We did have a small issue with the lights above the bed. When we arrived there was an issue with our hotels.com reservation. Though it was not his issue, the gentleman at the front desk, Charles went above and beyond to help us resolve the issue with the reservation and got us into a room. The staff were phenomenal. The location is 2 miles from downtown.

  Charles was amazing. I happened to walk up on a customer that was being with difficult. Charles was being extremely nice trying to help her anyway possible. Charles even walked her to her room. Great job Charles dealing with a troubled customer !!

  This was our first time staying at a garner and we were very much pleased with how our stay went. First the woman keeping breakfast stocked and cleaned was amazing! I can't remember her name. Also, Ashley at the front desk was top tier with her service! I left some belongings in the room when we checked out and she went up and made sure to grab them and put them to the side for us! she always had a smile on her face no matter what and made sure everyone was taken care of the same way! We will definitely be coming and visiting again. If your coming to stay i recommend asking for ashley if she's available! all staff was wonderful at the end of the day!

  We arrived at Garner Hotel Frederick Southeast around 12:30 a.m. after driving from New York for a family wedding. Exhausted from the road, we were greeted by a professional and genuinely friendly front desk team. Andrew stood out right away — he was warm, efficient, and gave us great local tips about the area. It’s clear General Manager Nicole Moore leads a top-notch operation. Our room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. We slept great and woke up refreshed. The hot breakfast the next morning was excellent — plenty of fresh options including eggs, meat patties, and pastries. The location is perfect: easy access to I-70 and just a short drive to downtown Frederick. We had a wonderful, stress-free stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. 5 stars!
