  Extremely Scary and Unacceptable Check-In Experience Initially, we were assigned a room when we checked in. However, when we went to the room, we were shocked to find that someone else was already occupying it. The occupant screamed loudly when we opened the door, which was extremely frightening for both me and my little children. After discussing the situation with the hotel staff, they apologized and arranged another room for us. While we appreciate that they eventually provided a different room, the entire experience was extremely disturbing and frightening. After a long drive, we came to the hotel expecting to have a safe and peaceful place to rest with our young children. Instead, we experienced one of the scariest and most stressful situations we have ever encountered at a hotel. Having another guest already occupying the room we were assigned to is a serious safety and privacy concern, and it was especially terrifying with small children.

  Room was ok, breakfast was nice but limited choices. Would stay again if only for a couple days.

  My boyfriend and I booked a room only for one night through their own site!! And when we got there he said “I knew this would happen… it let you book a reservation but we have no rooms available so we’ll have to refund you” he told us he had absolutely no rooms to put us in, even though we booked directly through them! We then had to find another accommodation last minute at 10pm. They didn’t recommend anywhere else for us to go and not even an apology. The other reviews about them not having their rooms available even with reservations are true please listen I thought it wouldn’t happen to us and it did! We ended up at the best western, thank god theres a lot of other hotels around otherwise we would have had nowhere to stay 5 hours away! I would highly recommend not even booking with them as it’s not worth the risk of not having a room. They need to fix their online booking system if that is the reason that this keeps happening to people. We looked forward to staying here but would not risk it again. I’ve never left a review anywhere before, but this was a very bad experience.

  This review is about the staff, particularly Andrew at the front desk. My wife and I have travelled extensively this year, from Spain to Portugal, Rome and beyond and I can honestly say that Andrew at the Frederick Garner gets "best in class". He couldn't have been more professional, efficient and just pleasant. He has a bright future in whatever he chooses to pursue.
