I was a little concerned about staying here after I read other reviews, but we were looking for a hotel on short notice during the heat wave instead of staying in the campground we had booked. The staff was warm, welcoming, and very helpful. Every staff member I interacted with had a smile on their face and was happy to help.
The hotel is a little older, and the room was small, but clean and comfortable. A shoutout to the cleaning staff- they refreshed our room linens and towels each day and even filled our water bottles with ice one day that was over 100 degrees outside.
We wanted a hotel near a Metro stop and the pool was also a nice perk to have during the heat wave. One door to the outdoor pool was closed, but there is another entrance. The pool was great to use during the heat wave! Breakfast was also delicious!

What happened? This hotel was always our go to during our D.C. visits. Hotel Room was not pleasant and dirty. Customer service requires additional training. Front Desk Staff appear to be lazy and have excuses vs solutions for patrons. Housekeeping staff and service was a complete failure. We had to chase down housekeeping for service requests and they still failed to assists or perform. I do want to say that breakfast was pretty good, the food amd service. The lady running the breaksfast services and her coworkers were outstanding. I would not recommend this hotel location, and eventhough we're not upset, we'll not stay here for any future visits, as the quality of this location does not meet IHG well known service or atmosphere.

Guest services and support was terrible. Pool was out, safe was locked - front desk is little to no help in remedy of issues. Rooms were adequate and functional only. Would recommend spending an added $20 and stay some place else

We were placed on the first room, 116 to be exact. The entire floor smelled like New Amsterdam. WEED. WEED. WEED. The room was spacious but the wall ac units took awhile to cool the room, we had to ask for bath towels because they provided 2 for 4 people, and it had a dingy dirty feel to it. Maybe spring for an update to this property Holiday Inn? The people at the front desk, especially the young man on Saturday morning at about 10:00 am on 6.14.2026, was excellent. I realize weed is legal in the area and there is no shame in smoking - but I don't want others exhale to become the only thing I smell as we enter, exit, and stay at the hotel. Also, the security to our floor from outside was completely lacking. Anyone could have access to the hotel from the back parking lot. The doors were wide open day and night.

I am a platinum elite IHG member, but was treated like an unwanted guest.
The proximity of Andrews AFB is great, it's also pretty easy to get to Bolling AFB.
Breakfast was horrible. There was hardly any selection, and everything was stale or just gross. The young lady that worked there was rude.
Every single trash can was overflowing. The lobby had a bad odor every time I walked into it.
The room had a dresser right in front of the light switches, made no sense, I had to slip my hand in between the wall and the dresser in order to turn the lights on and off.
The air conditioning must have been from the 1960s, it hardly produced any cold air. It produced more noise than air.
This property doesn't just need updates, it needs a major complete renovation.
