  This is my last night staying at this branch of Crowne Plaza. The location is actually convenient for Boston, although traffic on week days could make for a long commute. The service is nothing short of unacceptable! I saw mixed reviews beforehand, but I thought to give the hotel a chance. However, on the first day of arrival, there was a strand of hair within the towels but didn't make a complaint. On the second day of stay, we found that the towels had been replaced and I found another hair strand in the folds of the towels. In addition, our room not cleaned so we gave some feedback to which we received a response that our room was going to be placed on their cleaning schedule. On our third day, we expected to see our room cleaned, but, like a cruel joke, they replaced the towels, one of which had a hair strand in it AND the room was not cleaned AT ALL!!! This hotel was not cheap for a 3-night stay (not good value for money at all). I am glad to be leaving after 3 nights of stay. I blame myself for taking a chance on a hotel which is apparently a 4-star. I do NOT recommend this establishment from the experience I have had.

  On 9/26 we had the Melrose High 50th Reunion here. And in a word, fantastic! From our initial contact Sonja Deros to the MOD Kahl we were treated with so much hospitality. The bartenders and all of the banquet staff served up wonderful food and drinks. The space was perfect for us and the food was divine. The rooms were perfect as well. I would highly recommend using these folks for your next event!

  Great location if you were visiting multiple cities like Boston and Salem. Had a huge issue with our keys working and had to get 10 different keys made. Was told that the exterior door lock key pad wouldn't work in the rain. The amenities shown on the sight for the rooms weren't in the room. The microwave was a shared floor microwave at the end of the hall with the ice machine. It would be good for a business trip or overnight stay.

  We stayed at the Crown Plaza on September 19. We reserve the room with one credit card but used another to pay for the room that night. They charged us on each card and it’s been 11 days and they’ve not issued a refund. It’s hard to get in touch with anybody at the front desk when You do get somebody they says they will get back to you and then they don’t. I think the company is hoping That either you won’t notice or you’ll get frustrated and just stop trying to get refunded. So ridiculous very poor customer service.

  This hotel has problems. First, no way is it a four star hotel. The rooms are adequate but 4-star hotels don't have torn curtains and almost inoperative climate controls. Moreover, four star hotels have working room key machines. I had to go down on three separate occasions to get the room key replaced because the writer or reader wasn't working properly, a fact the desk clerk acknowledged. They also have need to have more than one person at the desk so that they are able to process guests expeditiously (particularly since they have to spend double time fixing key issues). Not impressed with the location. Nothing around. And, not a big deal for me, but the TV is kind of small for the price point. But the hotel has some good features: staff very pleasant, room was clean, good water pressure, elevators work well, adequate parking. Comfortable bed.
