We found the hotel to be a bit tired. Though the bed and bath were clean and fine, the room had the smell of old carpet, quite unpleasant actually. The carpets in the room and hallways really need to go. Ours was actually frayed at the edges. The breakfast was barely "ok", the coffee was very weak, the bagels cold and near stale, other choices minimal, the staff lackadaisical, the yogurt machine not inviting. Not really a good breakfast atmosphere at all. On the other hand the hotel is well-located, generally clean, has easy parking, is quiet for sleeping, has a good restaurant next door, the staff is helpful and pleasant.

The hotel is dated. Our room door had a gap and you could not lock it with the deadbolt. The beds were comfortable and the air worked great. The breakfast has the normal waffles, eggs, cereal, etc. It is nearby restaurants, fast food and stores. It was about a 20 min drive to Boston downtown.

We stayed at this hotel for one night on Thursday. Overall, the staff was friendly and professional throughout our stay. The breakfast was acceptable for a short stay—nothing exceptional, but adequate.
The room itself was modest, and the bed was clean and comfortable. However, we noticed several issues related to cleanliness and maintenance that negatively affected our experience.
The carpet had visible debris and dirt in multiple areas, and the floor near the entrance was sticky. We also noticed cleaning streaks or marks on the headboard. One of the room lights was broken, the curtains had what appeared to be a cigarette burn hole, and there was a visible water stain in one corner of the room.
Another major disappointment was the pool area. The pool was closed during our stay and appeared to be in very poor condition. The pool floor and walls looked old, worn, and chipped, giving the impression that the area had not been properly maintained for quite some time.
We believe the hotel has potential, but greater attention to cleanliness and maintenance is needed to provide a better guest experience.
I have attached photos showing some of the issues mentioned above, including the damaged curtains, debris on the carpet, and the broken light fixture.

I specifically booked this hotel because it had a pool. Before booking, I checked the website to make sure the pool was open, and I even added an extra night to my stay so I could spend the following day relaxing by the pool.
When I checked in, I told the front desk that I couldn’t wait to jump in the pool after driving 3.5 hours and that it was what I had been looking forward to all day. The staff member laughed and chatted with me about it, yet never mentioned that the pool was closed. I went upstairs, changed into my swimsuit, came back downstairs, and only then discovered the pool was closed for maintenance.
I immediately explained that the pool was the entire reason I booked this hotel and the reason I paid for an extra night. Despite knowing that, the staff seemed completely unconcerned and offered no real solution. Instead, I was told the pool “should be open tomorrow.” The next day, I was told it would be closed all day and might reopen the following day. Even when I checked out on the third day, the pool was still covered with tarps and closed, yet staff continued saying it might be open the next day.
What was most frustrating was the lack of communication and the constant runaround. If the hotel knew the pool was closed, that should have been clearly stated on the website and communicated at check-in, especially after I specifically mentioned how excited I was to use it. Had I known the pool would be unavailable for my entire stay, I would have booked elsewhere.
The hotel itself was fine, but the poor communication, lack of transparency, and complete disregard for the fact that the pool was the sole reason for my booking left me extremely disappointed.

Unfortunately our experience started off with a room that smelled of cigarette smoke. The front staff was nice enough to switch rooms for us but the next room had stains on both bed comforters and sheets. I noticed the housekeeping attendants in another room and asked if they could change the beds out. They were very nice and swapped them out.
However, the room was dirty with stains on the walls and we didn't want to use the shower as it was disgusting. This was our last hotel of our 7 day trip and by far the most disgusting. We stayed at several other Best Western Hotels and this one doesn't make the cut.
