I was very disappointed with my stay at the Aiden by Best Western Cape Cod in South Yarmouth, especially considering how overpriced the room was.
The front desk staff was somewhat friendly, but the bartender was rude and unwelcoming. The biggest issue was the excessive noise from the room directly above us. People were aggressively jumping, stomping, and making loud noise throughout the night until approximately 4:00 AM. I complained several times, but the problem was never properly resolved, making it almost impossible to sleep.
On top of that, our TV stopped working around 6:00 PM. We were told someone would fix it within 30 minutes, but no one ever did, and the TV remained unusable for the rest of our stay.
Not to mention, the room came with passes to Wicked Waves Water Park, which was also a huge disappointment. The water park was dirty, extremely overcrowded, and felt way over capacity. That was supposed to be one of the perks of staying here, but it ended up making the overall experience even worse.
I also saw a mouse outside the property, which certainly did not help my impression of the hotel.
Before checking out, I tried to speak with a manager about these issues, but no manager was available. I also searched for a corporate contact number so I could address my concerns directly with Best Western, but I was unable to easily find one.
For the amount of money charged for this room, I expected a much higher level of service, cleanliness, responsiveness, and overall quality. Between the sleepless night, broken TV, poor handling of my complaints, disappointing water park experience, and inability to speak with management, I do not feel the stay was worth anywhere near what I paid.
