  You get what you pay for. In this case, I had read the reviews and set my expectations low. I have become a Best Western frequent stayer and I can fairly accurately evaluate the properties where I stay. I realize that I am not going to get Hamption Inn standards for a Best Western price. The area around the hotel is residentail/ small business - not bad by any means but not an upscale area either. I was aware there is no elevator at the hotel, but be aware the stairways are steep and hard for anyone with a heavy suitcase. I did not expect a 3 star hotel. I expected a clean room and a safe environment. I do not know whether this hotel has permanent ( i.e. county supported) guests but I have my suspicions given some of the guests I encountered. The stair wells are filty/disgusting; but the hallways are presentable. The outer safety door mechanism to one of the entrances was not functional so anyone could walk in off the street. ( NOTE - I did report this to the Front Desk fols on two different days). The room was basic and clean but two of the soap, shampoo dispensers were empty upon my arrival. The air conditioner was functional but just barely - abnormally noisy - needed earplugs to drown out the cycling. The breakfast was satisfactory - again you get what you pay for. The first morning after my arrival I walked out of my room and encountered the Police handling a violent domestic situation. Don't know the details and don't care - why are problem guests allowed to remain on site - especially with a non-functional security door?? On the very positive side - all of the employees I encountered were pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again IF I was traveling alone and the security door was repaired. I would NOT stay here if I was travelling with my family. I would spend the money to stay at a nicer place.

  Rooms are cleaned and spacious. Beds are comfortable. Perfect for family stay.

  The shower head needed some tlc, the hairdryer end was melted. The service was above and beyond. We felt very welcomed and taken care of. I cannot say enough about the customer service.

  Overall, we had a great experience staying here. The location was really convenient, especially if you’re visiting Six Flags it’s only about a 12 minute drive away. There are also restaurants and shops nearby, and most of them are within a 15 minute walk if you feel like exploring the area. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Anytime we had a question or needed something, they were quick to help and made us feel welcomed. We came as a group of 15 guys, so we booked three rooms, and all of them were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The rooms had everything we needed, including extra towels, and the mattresses were really comfortable. The atmosphere of the hotel was very relaxing, which made our stay even better. The breakfast was great as well! We really appreciated how accommodating and guest-focused the hotel was. It’s clear that this is a place that wants to keep improving while making sure guests have a comfortable experience.

  Made a 2 night reservation for a place that has a 24 hour front desk and there was no one around near midnight. Front desk phone has a note that says "dial 0" but the phone literally has no power cord plugged in. The phone number at the front desk also says "error" when you try to call and then hangs up on you. Had to leave and find somewhere else.
