  After my flight out of Boston Logan was cancelled early Friday morning, I called around for a room and Holiday Inn Express Boston Logan Airport confirmed one I could check into immediately. My email confirmation came through at 2:06am. When I arrived at 2:39am, the front desk told me a "system error" had allowed the booking and that no room actually existed. I was left stranded in the middle of the night with zero help - no referral to another hotel, no alternative, nothing. When I called later to confirm I wouldn't be charged and to ask how this happened, I was told "this just happens sometimes." No accountability, no empathy, no attempt to make it right. Confirming a booking you can't honour and then shrugging it off is not the standard I'd expect from a Holiday Inn. I can't recommend this location.

  Top floor with noisy HVAC vibrating through the roof. Also, there’s no airport shuttle.

  Used to be 3.5-4.5 stars for the price, but cutbacks and information greedy decisions have taken their toll. First, they now ban people from using personal HDMI devices like video games or streamers so people can only watch content from Dish network, which does not carry local sports -- so this may be the only hotel chain in Boston that forbids customers from watching Boston Red Sox and Bruins games. Also you'll be lucky if the few channels on the shoddy Dish network actually come in as anything other than digital static. There were several other things (outrageous parking fees, the bar was closed on Friday and Saturday night, you are required to go to the front desk if you need a towel, etc.), and I've been IHG for decades, but this was a cavalcade of deal-breakers, starting with massively alienating sports fans during Boston playoff runs.

  Rooms were clean and comfortable. Property is very nice and up to date. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was kind and helpful. I know that the hotel website has been updated but third party bookers need to know, sadly, they do NOT offer a shuttle anymore and charge for parking.

  I stayed here before an early flight out of Boston and found the location very convenient—less than 15 minutes from the airport. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and included a small kitchenette. I also really liked the bathroom amenities. The only downside was that the TV wasn’t a smart TV, so streaming wasn’t an option. Breakfast is very basic American fare. The bar has a very limited food menu, so I’d recommend ordering delivery instead. Be aware that parking costs an additional $30 per night, and the hotel does not offer an airport shuttle. During my first stay, I requested a quieter room because my room faced a noisy area, but none were available. My interaction with the staff was minimal, so I can’t really comment on the service. Overall, it’s a nice, comfortable hotel and a good choice if you need to stay close to the airport.
