  The worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. Our first room key card didn’t work, even after multiple trips to the front desk. After finally getting help from a housekeeper, we were able to open the door—only to discover that the room was not just “not ready,” but clearly not in a condition that should have been given to a guest at all. The AC unit had been completely taken apart, the bed frame was leaning against the wall (as shown in the photo), and the room smelled terrible. Unfortunately, the smell wasn’t limited to that room. The entire hotel smelled awful, especially around the pool. We had two kids who were really excited to swim, but between the strong smell and the unheated pool water, I did not feel comfortable letting them go in. Our second room was at least acceptable, but the AC kept blowing out stinky-smelling air, so we had to turn it off. The key card also barely worked and was extremely frustrating to use. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Between the condition of the first room, the smell throughout the hotel, the pool, the AC issue, and the repeated problems with the key cards, I would not recommend staying here, especially for families with young children.

  WHO WRITES THOSE REVIEWS SAYING IT’S EXCELLENT??? The property is extremely run down and noticeably outdated. The lobby greets you with a dirty old rug and a stained couch… The elevator hasn’t been vacuumed in ages; its walls are grimy enough to tell their own story, and the pool is murky. The beds were uneven and squeaky… You’ll need to run the water for “at least 10 minutes” (according to the front desk) before it becomes hot... They also add a $50 “accidental fee,” which is returned only after 3–5 business days. NOWHERE near a 3‑star hotel!!!!

  MICE POOP on bed and floors. Not just one room but two! The front desk service was good. The lady was apologetic and understood we would not say stay here. We checked into our room, noticed mouse poop behind the pillow on the bed and that ended it for us. We changed rooms in hopes for better times. The beds were fine but then noticed mouse poop all along the edges of the room. We did not stay! The only reason this is getting one star is due to the helpful front desk lady.

  Good rooms. Clean and updated. The location on the little highway makes it a pain to get food unless you go to the Starbucks or restaurant next door. Great location between Boston and Salem which was the purpose of our visit.

  Very friendly staff, extremely helpful housekeeping and a very comfortable, clean and affordable room. The indoor-pool was a little chilly, but that's a very minor inconvenience in the end. Would recommend to anyone needing a comfortable stay while on the road.
