  Hubby and I stayed here for 5 days to be just outside of Boston for a much nicer price! I found this hotel to be the nicest one I have been to. Very clean and friendly staff. Some of the elevators were definitely broken during our stay but they still had 2-3 working ones, they are all in the main lobby. The included breakfast was AMAZING! -Definitely the best we have had at a hotel and it was great to not have to cook in the morning when we had early mornings and long days. There are also lots of stores and strip-malls nearby!

  Do not stay at this hotel! They will charge you a smoking fee, even though you were not smoking in the room. Do not stay at this hotel! They will charge you a smoking fee even though you were not smoking in the room. The manager, Dawn is a liar! She said that I spoke to someone and admitted that I was smoking in the room, which is Factually incorrect I never spoke to anyone in regards to that nature. And then five minute, she says oh I’m sorry I had you mixed up with someone else and still charge me the $500 fee. I asked her for proof as far as pictures or any evidence to show that I was smoking in the room and she said that she didn’t have any!

  I had a very disappointing experience with the Western Royal Plaza Hotel and Trade Center. Due to unforeseen circumstances, my family needed to cancel our reservation. When I contacted the hotel, the manager was extremely rude and unwilling to discuss any options. I was told, "I won't work with you, and I don't have to," and was informed that the hotel would keep the entire room charge. As a result, I lost $653, and my daughter also lost approximately the same amount on her reservation. While I understand that hotels have cancellation policies, I expected at least some level of professionalism, courtesy, and willingness to discuss possible solutions. The lack of customer service and compassion was very disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here and would encourage others to carefully review the cancellation policy before booking. Please read the reviews before dealing with this motel.

  Crappy spot, better off ANYWHERE else. Staff was rude and argumentive. Wasn't told the pool was broken upon booking( traveled with kids)was told we'd be given a $30 a night discount, which wasn't applied without a essentially a 3 day argument with staff. Staff was basically pointing a finger at each other as to see who was supposed to refund us. Something straight outta a Three Stooges movie.Lobby was dirty always and rooms were musty. Difficult people to deal with and customer service was as bad as I've ever seen ... Never again.

  I recently stayed at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel & Trade Center in Marlborough, MA and found it to be a solid hotel with several strengths, along with a few areas that could use improvement. Check-in was quick and easy, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly, professional, and accommodating. I even stopped by the front desk later to request travel-size toiletries, and they were happy to help. The lobby is large, open, and clean, and the hotel offers several amenities including an indoor pool, fitness center, arcade area, outdoor patio, and the on-site All Star Bar & Grill. One thing I did notice was that the common areas felt unusually warm during my stay. Fortunately, the guest room itself was comfortable thanks to its individual climate control unit. The room was spacious and included a mini fridge, coffee maker, and reliable Wi-Fi. The bed was comfortable, I slept well, and the internet connection was excellent throughout my stay. The bathroom had good lighting and plenty of hot water, but the bathtub showed signs of wear and could use repair or replacement. Housekeeping also missed a few details, as there were a couple of areas that weren't thoroughly cleaned. If you're traveling with pets, be aware that pets are allowed for a fee, but there is currently no designated pet relief area. Given the size of the property, I think adding one would be a worthwhile improvement. The highlight of my stay was definitely the complimentary hot breakfast. There was a great selection of eggs, breakfast meats, hash browns, fruit, breads, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, coffee, and juice. Even more impressive was the breakfast staff. Food was constantly replenished, tables were cleaned quickly, and team members regularly checked on guests. The breakfast team provided some of the best service I experienced during my stay. Checkout was simple and convenient, with options to check out either at the front desk or online. Overall, this Best Western offers good value with comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast service, reliable Wi-Fi, and friendly staff. While I think there is room for improvement when it comes to housekeeping details, room maintenance, and climate control in the common areas, I would stay here again if I were visiting the area. It may not be my first choice, but it is a solid option for travelers looking for a hotel in Marlborough with free breakfast, an indoor pool, and professional customer service.
