  The air conditioning was working when we arrived when the high was over 100 degrees that day and it wasn't fixed until very late in the evening. When I complained about that, they told me that some other hotels also had an AC problem as if that should satisfy me. I called a couple of nearby hotels and said I heard they had some AC problems, and denied having even temporary issues. On the positive side, if you want to be close to Harvard Square, you can't find anything closer. The rooms were quite small, but clean and the bed was very comfortable. It's too bad the AC problem spoiled the stay and the staff pretty much just ghosted me when I brought the issue.

  Nearly non existent water pressure in shower. It literally took me 30 minutes to take a shower. The in shower shampoo was empty. The in shower body gel container was loose and fell on my foot. TV was low res (early 90s type picture). Toilet seat was unattached

  At this hotel you have to get dressed upon rising in the morning to go to reception to grab a cup of coffee! Why they cannot place small coffee makers in each room beats me. Our toilet was crooked and flushed every other time. You need to work out your arm muscles prior to showering there because the soap/shampoo dispensers need to be squeezed to no end while they release a meager trickle of product. This hotel is old, with cracks in the wall both in hallways and in our room.

  As in the hotel's title, it is located on Harvard Square and within very close walking distance to Harvard University. It is clean and has a great and friendly cleaning staff. In addition, Keno, who is at the front desk, is absolutely fantastic and a dream!!! He's very professional and efficient. As a stranger to the city, he helped me navigate where to go and more importantly how to get there with maps he put together ( I wanted to explore downtown Boston). He even worked out for me how to catch their train and bus, (which ones to take), which can be daunting for someone out of town. This guy should honestly be an assistant to a fortune 500 Executive. He helped in so many ways, including where to dine and what markets to explore. His advice was always good and sincere. Lastly, they have a Hertz Rental Car Office next to the front desk and that young man does a wonderful job and is also very helpful and considerate!! The only negative thing I have to say is that the rooms are very small. However, Keno and the rest of the staff are great and will make your stay very pleasant!

  Over priced hotel. Rooms are not worth $450 US per night. Be aware that this hotel has almost no security to prevent strangers from accessing the visitors rooms from the first floor. A potential bad guy can enter the hotel on the first floor, access the elevator and travel up to the rooms. Who knows what they could do once they are in the hotel. This made me very paranoid once I realized the lack of security at the hotel.
