This is a wonderful place to stay in Boston. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of downtown, within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants, and plenty of places to explore. There are also several dining options right on the property, which makes the stay even more convenient.
The building itself is a beautiful historic hotel with so many charming details, but what truly makes it stand out is the staff. Every person we interacted with was friendly, polite, and genuinely helpful. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble.
We had such a great experience, and I’m so glad I realized they were part of Stash and switched my booking from the Marriott.

One of the valet employees (dark skin) was incredibly rude and unprofessional. A simple interaction was turned into an unnecessary confrontation because of his attitude and lack of basic respect.
Employees represent the hotel. Management should invest more effort in hiring and training people who know how to communicate professionally instead of creating problems where none exist. Respect goes both ways.

The issue was never being asked to move. The issue was the rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional way your valet employee handled the situation.
My wife was sitting in a running vehicle with our children while helping an elderly family member with limited mobility get into the car. She was several car lengths away from the hotel entrance and was not blocking access. Instead of speaking respectfully, your employee chose to be dismissive, argumentative, roll his eyes, make faces, and escalate what should have been a simple two-minute conversation.
When I later approached him after my wife told me what happened, he denied everything. Apparently, it was easier for him to suggest that my wife was somehow making it up than to take responsibility for his own behavior. I believe my wife. She doesn’t know him, has no reason to invent a story, and was simply trying to help an elderly family member while caring for our children.
What bothered me most was seeing a grown man act this way toward a woman alone with kids. If he wouldn’t appreciate someone speaking to his wife, mother, or daughter that way, he shouldn’t speak to other people that way either.
Employees represent the businesses that hire them. If this employee is an example of the professionalism your hotel expects from its staff, that reflects poorly on the hotel’s management and standards. A little courtesy, maturity, and common sense would have prevented this entire negative experience.
