  Loved this hotel for our stay in Boston! Close to yummy cafes like cafe bonjour and George Howell which is connected to the hotel. The lobby feels fancy and even the elevator entrance is another level! Rooms were very clean and big windows- loved it all

  First the location is great due to its central location. Everything is an easy walk to get to. The staff is extremely helpful. Some things to know about the rooms. There is not enough storage. We lived out of our suitcases for the weeks stay. There are no drawers, only one chair, rooms are tight. There is a pseudo put together furniture style closet with a couple of hangers. The bathroom is quit large which makes the living area small. Since we were on a sight seeing trip all week we over looked these short commings mainly due to the location to all the attractions we wanted to see.

  We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and one of the main reasons we keep coming back is the amazing service. I want to especially mention Arbon, who takes care of the valet and the hotel entrance area. He is incredibly professional, kind, attentive, and always welcomes us with a genuine smile. He helps with everything, makes us feel truly cared for, and creates such a warm and welcoming feeling every time we arrive. We remembered him from our previous stay as well, and he was honestly one of the reasons we chose to return to this hotel. People like Arbon make all the difference. He is a true asset to the hotel, and his service is simply outstanding. Highly recommended!

  Originally from MA and we visit my family once a year. Absolutely loved the Godfrey. The service was incredible and the rooms modern and cozy. We felt taken care of and absolutely loved that it was right in the middle of everything I grew up in. We highly recommend booking your accommodations here.

  ★★★★☆ Stayed at The Godfrey for two nights for my birthday and overall had a really nice experience. The location is fantastic. You can walk to most of what you’d want to see around downtown Boston, though you’ll probably want an Uber if you’re heading out toward Fenway or Cambridge. The room was clean, modern, and well maintained, though definitely on the smaller side. The bed and pillows are both very soft, which wasn’t really my preference, but that’s obviously subjective. The bigger issue was noise. You’re in the middle of a major city, so some street noise is expected, but the honking is pretty constant and noticeable from the room. On Saturday night we could also hear the bass from a nearby bar pretty late. I mentioned it to the front desk and they were genuinely apologetic and immediately offered to do something about it. I’m honestly not sure what they could have done, so I didn’t press the issue, but I appreciated the response. The staff was easily the highlight of the hotel. Everyone we interacted with was extremely friendly, polite, and helpful. More importantly, it felt genuine. I never felt like I was inconveniencing anyone or asking for too much. That was true from the doormen and front desk to housekeeping. They also took great care of me for my birthday and really helped make the stay feel special. Guest services deserves a lot of credit. Housekeeping was great and kept us stocked with bottled water. The attached coffee shop was excellent. The lobby bar was pretty average, with one great bartender and another who was just okay. The hotel markets itself as a boutique property, and I’m not sure it completely delivers on that. The design is nice and everything is kept very clean, but to me it feels more like a nice upscale city hotel than a true boutique experience. I’d stay here again. The location is hard to beat, but the staff is the real reason I’d recommend it. They turned a good hotel stay into a memorable birthday experience.
