This Holiday inn Express & Suites is a little dated, but it’s clean, the beds are comfortable, and 24 hour free coffee. The breakfast is decent, and the service is excellent. I’ve stayed here a couple times in the past to visit family. I would recommend this hotel for anyone on a budget because it’s prefect.

This hotel worked in a bind, I love the large rooms which are a product of the age of the hotel. The a.c. worked well, which is surprisingly rare around here. The size of the rooms go a long way, I really appreciate that. The outdatedness I found kind of cool, dark wood, spacious feel, was countered by the outdatedness of the t.v. - would not recognize my HDMI cord I bought once I got here in order to try to connect my laptop. It is a "dumb" t.v. - Really dumb. Cable guide couldn't be navigated through, had to just wait for it to scroll down oh-so-slowly whole screen by whole screen then remember the channels, go to them, they changed slowly. Such a large t.v. but wasted - I streamed on my laptop. The shower only had shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. No body wash. The sink had hand soap. I put some hand soap in a cup to take to the shower to use. Unfortunately they use all "Dove" brand which means even the hand soap is full of lotion. I couldn't wash it off. The trickle of water made it even harder. I ended up using my own shampoo to try to wash off the Dove hand soap. My entire stay here I sweat SO much outside the room (not in the room, that a.c. was great) because I had LOTION all over me I couldn't wash off from the Dove hand soap and the slow trickle of water. I do want to say I leave room for this hotel's or town's water to be the problem. Maybe it is so extremely soft it doesn't work like water is supposed to. And the super slow trickle of water doesn't help.... I am leaving with dirty hair. There is nowhere near enough water pressure to wash it here. I was starting to fill empty water bottles I could find to get ready try to wash it by pouring water on it from bottles, then caught myself and decided it was just too stupid to even try. I'll just wear a hat tomorrow. The breakfast was okay, but the bagels were so hard I threw it away as soon as I touched it and saw in the trash several other whole bagels, people probably did the same, not wanting to break their teeth on a crouton-bagel. Overall I am leaving with a good feeling but am glad I'm not here another night (I stayed 3 nights.) Would I be leaving with such a good feeling had I paid sticker price with money, instead of getting it for free with points through my reward program? I'm not so sure I would. The employees are super nice. Just a little too much with the unusable t.v.s. Also the telephone in my room didn't work, despite being plugged in. I was only trying to use it to call the front desk, though, and just used my cell phone. It wasn't a problem, it's just another thing. The room was pretty clean. The curtains don't block out the extraordinarily bright light outside. The second night I did what I could to block it out, which worked for the parking light at night but did not block out the sun in the morning. The a.c. blasted quite strongly when it would kick on, directly blowing a polar vortex onto me, waking me up. I diffused the a.c. by moving the chair in front of it and draping a sheet over it, that seemed to work. I'll upload a pic showing what I did to the window/a.c. wall, lol Maybe if the room you get isn't facing the light you'd be able to sleep at night instead of wasting a night figuring it out, then making it a wall-block-out project. The last night (of 3) I was here, starting at 1 a.m., some really deep reverberating-through-the-walls sound stared cycling on and off. Felt like a diesel truck idling that went on and off. Maybe I got a neighbor and their fridge or a.c. was making that racket. Not sure how anybody could sleep in whatever room started making that noise. I'm also not sure my earplugs are enough for me to sleep through it. If it's an a.c. cycling on and off it shouldn't be 7 to 15 seconds on then 90 seconds off over and over. I called the front and they were very nice, said they'd check, but... it's 1:30 a.m.... when I called the guy said the walls were thin... 7 to 14 seconds of shaking every 90 seconds. Yes it's regular enough to count. How fun.

Why did I give it four stars? The carpet in the elevator is so disgustingly dirty it makes you want to turn around; the cushions of the eating area seat are equally stained; and the signage at the bottom of the hill, where you would turn up the driveway, was out. But the room was spotless.

Ac in hotel was shut off. Ridiculously hot on the third floor and in the lobby. Management was supposed to call us regarding this reservation and never did.

If you are offered room 340, decline it. There is a laundry room right above it. On Sunday at 7:30a.m., someone was actually doing laundry there. That’s a first for me.
