Room service instead of cleaning the vomit swept it under the vanity and left it there to stink. Also my white Sox are completely black just from walking around in the room. Definitely do not stay here. Read the old reviews people complaining about the smell in the place and the lift not working properly and I can confirm this is still the case so obviously management don’t take their reviews seriously. The responses here by management is just for the sake of a response with nothing actually being done. I will never stay in a ihg property again

It is in an older, historic building with lots of charm, but it’s reasonably updated. As others mention, the beds are very comfortable and the staff is helpful and courteous. There’s no full-service restaurant, but there’s a small café that serves breakfast. When I booked, rates were very competitive. The St. James has a central location within walking distance of the French Quarter but also close to the CBD, the casino, the Convention Center, and the WWII Museum, to name a few. I recommend it.
