I absolutely loved the architecture of the building—the high ceilings and classic details make it feel so authentic, but the room itself was incredibly chic and updated. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the quiet, upscale atmosphere made for a perfect night's sleep. 5 stars for the style, the history, and the hospitality!

The hotel itself is well designed and cozy with a nice vibe, but it’s not the most well maintained. For example there was mildew on our shower tile, the dipping pool had a lot of bugs in it, and the elevator couldn’t be called from the second floor so I had to go down the stairs which was annoying especially when carrying my luggage down on check out. The WiFi was unusable. Such a shame since it’s an otherwise fantastic hotel in a great location.

Booked a 1 King standard windowless room, so expectations were pretty average going in, but being an IHG Platinum member came through — got upgraded to a king room with a balcony which completely changed the stay. Room had that classic New Orleans feel with high ceilings and exposed brick, but still clean and comfortable. Bed was great, bathroom was nicely updated with a modern marble look, and everything felt well kept. The balcony was the real win. Not a crazy view, but a great little private outdoor space to sit, relax, and take in the city for a bit. Definitely something you don’t expect when you originally booked a windowless room. Location is clutch too — easy walk to everything in the French Quarter without being right in the chaos. Only thing I’d say is don’t count on upgrades, but if you have status it definitely helps here. Overall, great value, great location, and a nice little surprise upgrade that made the stay way better than expected. Also have to shout out the front desk — Anika really stood out. Her hospitality was next level from the moment I arrived. Super warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful with anything I needed. She made the whole stay feel more personal and elevated, which you don’t always get. Little touches like that make a big difference
