The Eliza Jane is a 196-room boutique hotel in downtown New Orleans, part of Marriott's Autograph Collection. At 315 Magazine Street in the Central Business District, it is two blocks from the French Quarter and a short walk from the Arts District and the Morial Convention Center.
The hotel occupies restored 19th-century warehouses, including the former Daily Picayune newspaper offices and the Peychaud's Bitters factory. It is named for Eliza Jane Nicholson, the first woman to publish a major American daily.
Rooms and suites have exposed brick, 55-inch TVs and C.O. Bigelow bath amenities. On site: Couvant, a French-Louisiana brasserie; The Press Room lobby bar; an open-air courtyard; a 24-hour fitness center; and dog-friendly rooms.
