Our Amenity Fee ensures that we continue to bring you an authentic NOLA experience. The fee offers exclusive access to the following:
International House has a fleet of beautiful Chatham Plus cruisers by the talented folks at Retrospec bikes. Ride Crescent Park to experience the Mississippi River or the necklace of neighborhoods along the riverfront from Uptown and the Garden District to Marigny, Bywater and the Lower Ninth. There is no better way experience the Crescent City than by bike. First come, first serve.
The Big Easy is famous for its island ways and leisurely pace, but who wants that when it's time to catch up on e-mails or a favorite show in the comfort of your room. Our blazing high-speed WiFi ensures you stay current - living here, still working there - with no break in the action.
Hit the steel or ramp up your heart rate on a treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine, spinning bike or, yep, the heavy bag in the hotel’s “Kronk style” gym. Open 24-hours.
We love rebels. Artists. Entrepreneurs. The creative ones - whose art lives at the leading edge, the prism through which one sees what popular culture believes about a person or subject at moments in time. We hope you are inspired by the second floor MAGDALENA Gallery and the nation’s largest BANKSY mural and story in the lobby.
Forever one of America’s coffee capitals, neighborhood java joints, burnt clouds of roasting and whole beans from around the world still flavor New Orleans today. Our favorite is made by Eliot and Ian - founders of CONGREGATION COFFEE ROASTERS - a hidden gem, small-batch roaster in the historic Algiers Point neighborhood. DRINK COFFEE. BE AWESOME.

Even though Cochon Butcher has only been around since 2006, it’s quickly become a favorite among local New Orleanians. While staying true to culinary barbeque heritage, Cochon is able to create new and interesting dishes that will leave you wanting more. We suggest the pork belly sandwich.
Mark Twain once said, "New Orleans food is as delicious as the less criminal forms of sin," and after having breakfast at Satsuma, you will start thinking he was on to something. Boasting a delicious menu of fresh juices and other healthy options, you will have a tasty meal without the fried, sugary hangover weighing you down. We recommend the Green Drink.
If you played a game of word association with anyone in New Orleans, the name Cafe Amelie would be synonymous with courtyard. There are few prettier places to enjoy a Sunday brunch than this Royal Street stop, and we recommend trying the shrimp and grits with a tasty mimosa.
In 1872, Xavier Rouler, a young poultry farmer and penny farthing racer from the outskirts of Liege grew weary of the rampant commercialization of the one artisanal craft of cycle manufacture. In proud defiance, he declared the bounds of his family’s 200 year old farm in southern Belgium to be a sovereign nation - dedicated to celebrating its citizens’ individuality and the pursuit of unbridled freedom found through cycling - hence, the nation of Roulandria was born. Visit our good friend Wes who created this haunt. The coffee and his bikes bear witness to excellence and craftsmanship.
"In America, there might be better a gastronomic destination than New Orleans, but there’s no place more uniquely wonderful. It's a must-see city because there's no explaining it, no describing it. You can't compare it to anything. Far and away New Orleans is the one city people should experience for food." — Anthony Bourdain. Italian Barrel is no exception. With Chef Samantha Castagnetti serving up some of the freshest food with the highest quality ingredients in the city, this is a must on your list of things to do. We suggest the Penne Alla Vodka.
“Everyone in the neighborhood just wanted a place to hang out,” said Beau Ross of Bacchanal. While the atmosphere still reads as a low-key backyard party, Bacchanal is now known in the city for one of the best outdoor spots for wine and cheese.
An extravagant taste of place. The Crescent City Farmer's Market is filled with local vendors selling everything from fruit popsicles to fresh produce, we guarantee you will find something you love.
Is this the place? Push open the swinging gate, marked only with a small red “N7” stencil, to find a speakeasy-esque hidden world. The vintage red Citroën. Caribbean garden. Eccentric collage of movie placards, literary characters and French maps. Great wines and apps. “Is this a secret restaurant or the set of a Truffaut film?” says Bon Appetit while ranking our friends’ Aaron and Yuki’s new spot on of the nation’s Top 10 new restaurants in 2016. No idea, but this "part roadside wine bar, part living movie” is a secluded bar and bistro that is tasty, funky, earthy and great with stucco walls, concrete floors, stained glass and a vaulted ceiling. On the right night, there is no better place.
A stylish yet cozy pizzeria located in a converted warehouse in Marigny, Paladar 511 has high ceilings, exposed brick walls, an open kitchen, and friendly service. It's a neighborhood restaurant where inventive pies come with toppings like house-made lamb sausage, garlic confit, red pepper, pine nut, and tzatziki; starters include corn tortellini and charred okra; and heartier, protein-rich dishes are offered as entrees.
Self-described as a "proto-tiki" cocktail bar, Cane & Table is known for its stellar and largely rum-based drinks, both original and classic. The New York Times says, "cocktails are drawn not from the 20th-century movement that brought us the mai tai and the scorpion, but from its spiritual predecessor out of the Caribbean, an area with complicated and important ties to New Orleans.
Between the stunning works of art in the Besthoff Sculpture Garden and the beautiful gallery spaces in the New Orleans Museum of Art, City Park is a place where you can spend the entire day paddleboating, playing putt putt and experiencing art in New O.
Recently featured in the New York Times, the Whitney Plantation is the first museum in America dedicated to the subject of slavery. Newly opened, it is an extraordinarily unique place, with the Field of Angels and first person narratives not to be missed.
Recently named one of the best honeymoon destinations by Bustle, you are sure to have an intimate evening of delicious cocktails and sensual tunes in this spirit-inspired lounge.
A store and gallery specializing in Vodou religious supply, medicinal herbs, and Haitian and local artwork. A visit to the Botanica will educate and enlighten you in the rich blend of cultures and spiritual tradition that is New Orleans. The shop's owner, Sallie Ann Glassman, is an initiated Vodou priestess who calls up and mediates the power of the Spirit. Sallie Ann is internationally recognized for her lectures, art, readings, and healing ceremonies. The truly intrepid and sincerely interested may arrange to attend a Saturday night Vodou ceremony in Sallie Ann's Vodou temple, Achade Meadows. The ceremonies are performed by Sallie Ann and her full ensemble of initiated drummers, singers, and dancers. They are not performers, but actual Vodou practitioners - the real deal.
The studio—in a huge warehouse space in the Bywater neighborhood—showcases the work of local artist Brandon Odums (also known as BMike). He specializes in large-scale murals and paintings illustrating scenes from black culture in the city and black cultural leaders and icons.

As a fellow local New Orleans business that has been serving this community since 1951, this has been an incredibly disappointing experience.
Our company supplied boiler parts to this hotel in 2024. Despite repeated attempts over an extended period to collect payment and resolve the matter professionally, the invoice remains unpaid.
It's unfortunate to see one local New Orleans business treat another this way. We have always believed that local businesses should support one another by honoring their financial commitments. I sincerely hope they choose to do the right thing and resolve this outstanding balance.

My husband Jordan and I stayed at International House Hotel during my birthday trip to New Orleans, and honestly, this place was one of the highlights of our entire vacation.
What first drew me to the hotel was learning that it’s New Orleans’ first boutique hotel, and after staying here, I can see why it has such a great reputation. The hotel has so much character. The lobby and bar have this cool, relaxed vibe that feels uniquely New Orleans without trying too hard.
The thing that really stood out, though, was the people.
Christopher at the front desk was incredible. From the moment we checked in, he made us feel less like guests and more like friends visiting from out of town. He gave us great restaurant recommendations, answered every question we had, and genuinely seemed invested in making sure we had a great trip. Every hotel needs a Christopher.
We did have an issue with the air conditioning in our original room on the 10th floor, but what could have been a frustrating experience ended up being the exact opposite because of how quickly and professionally the staff handled it. They moved us to a panoramic king room with amazing views of the city and made sure we were completely comfortable. Problems happen. Great customer service is how those problems are handled, and this team absolutely nailed it.
The bar was another favorite spot of ours. The complimentary drink tokens at check-in are a really nice touch, and Joey made some fantastic cocktails. We found ourselves looking forward to stopping by the bar each evening.
One of the most memorable moments of our stay happened completely by chance. On Friday night, we struck up a conversation with a gentleman sitting at the bar. He was friendly, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. About ten minutes into the conversation, we realized he wasn’t just another guest—he was Sean, the owner. He thanked us for staying at the hotel, shared some stories about the property, and even invited us to a Prince tribute event being held for Prince’s birthday. The fact that the owner was casually spending time with guests and making people feel welcome says a lot about the culture of this hotel.
From Christopher at the front desk, to Joey at the bar, to the manager who went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of, every single person we encountered made us feel welcome.
If you’re looking for a hotel with personality, great service, and people who genuinely care about their guests, International House is it.
Thank you for making my birthday trip so special. We’ll definitely be back.

I dont typically leave reviews for anything, but felt it was needed here. My husband and I recently stayed at the International House over Memorial Day weekend. We have stayed at this hotel everytime we visit New Orleans which has been on multiple occasions. The hotel itself is great and the front desk staff is also great. However, this last visit we had some items come up missing from our room. Very expensive items. And to prevent from making any accusations prematurely, we came home to be sure these items were not left at home just in case. Which they weren't. It took multiple phone calls over 4 days to be told that no key entries were found and they were closing their incident report. The "investigation" seemed unimportant to them. Ultimately, it was our fault for not utilizing the in room safe and I accept that. However I do not honestly feel that true due diligence was done to investigate if someone entered our room while we were not there. Our room did not receive housekeeping services during our stay so no one should have entered our room at all, although they show our room was serviced but couldnt verify a time for that service which seems questionable at the very least. Cameras were not reviewed and we are left with thousands of dollars worth of stolen items. As much as we loved this hotel, we will not stay here again.
